Yep.Dumb question incoming; can Mahrez play either wing?
Too late to get him at a price we either can or are willing to pay.
Pep has said we cannot pay £80 mill for a player and apparently Leicester have turned down £67 mill.
I’d like him but we have Silva and Gundogan (and Merlin) and hopefully some Academy prospects. We don’t need him badly enough to risk our longer term financial position or summer spending plans.
If we sign someone, let it be Fred.

Give Brahim his chance. He will be great when he plays together with KDB, Silva, Dinho etc. Worst case scenario is that he plays bad, and then he could be subbed off. 60m for Mahrez (who is a RW, not a LW) would not be a great option. 27 next month. Leon Bailey should be available for the same price, and he is only 20, can play on both wings, and has apparently been the best winger in the Bundesliga this season
What makes you think Leon Bailey is available for the same price? He's probably the most coveted youngster in europe right now. Leverkusen are second and his stock is only going to increase between now and the summer. They won't sell him now when they can wait for a bidding war in Summer. Real Madrid are due a massive rebuild and players are going to move for stupid money. He's been the standout player in Germany this season and he will move for Mbappe and Dembele type money. Potentially double the prices being quoted for Mahrez.

ok thats worth 50 mil thenTo be fair to SWP Mahrez won POTY. Leroy may do but it will not be this year.
