So far this season Foden have played as a centre mid and a left back. Mahrez is a winger.

Not sure that is a very good way to discredit his opinion given Foden is an attacking player (even Pep has said that) who has often played LM/LW but there were no openings for him to play there when he was fit early in the season.

If he was fit right now, and we didn’t get a replacement for Sane, he would be a legitimate selection possibility.
