Like I said earlier, was only a matter of time some genius brought up Salah as an example to not look for marquee players. Let's all use exceptions to prove rules.

Fact is the way Manchester City play means we need MUCH better than Mane and co. Not quite sure why people don't get this elementary thing.

We don't play like Liverpool to have the possibility to reach the UCL final with a midfield of Milner Henderson Can NOR with a front 3 like Liverpool's. So ffs stop reasoning by simple but completely incorrect analogies.
I mean for FUCK sake might as well start questioning why we need multi million pound signings like Mendy and Walker when Liverpool can go to the final with Robertson and Trent Alexander.

No point arguing, some people just want to buy ready made superstars. That’s some United a lot of good, hasn’t it?
Honestly think some fans are just desperate to be the antithesis of United more than anything to do with improving man city's squad objectively. Small time mentality which I hope will go someday.

While you're applauding Liverpool to reach the final of the UCL with an 'unknown' signing like Salah, would you also hazard to tell us that a a midfield of the level of Henderson Milner and Oxlade would also be enough for City? That full backs of the level of Robertson and TAA are also good enough? Why does Man City need Jorginho KDB Walker Mendy etc if Liverpool can do it with worse players?

See how pathetically idiotic all this sounds?

What are you waffling on about?

I'm comparing a player who wants guaranteed regular football as you said Sessegnon would want, as opposed to players who are confident enough in their ability to stick it out at a big club & prove themselves. You drew the regular football comparison, not me so I can't see why you're now splitting hairs over Sane who came & fought for his place, or Roberts who opted for glory at easily the best team in Scotland.

Talking about Roberts, have you seen yesterday's Sky interview? 12 months after going against the club's wishes & demanding a return to Scotland, he now wants to come back to the PL with either City or another club.

At some point the realisation will hit young players that they can either settle, or push themselves. If Sessegnon does as you expect & opts for regular football above trying to test himself at the highest level, then he's not the player for City.

In terms if Foden & Diaz, they could have done what Sancho & Roberts did, but credit to both players for having the belief in their abilities to stay put, learn & try to prove they deserve to be at City. That's the players I want. If you're happy to settle, then that's your business mate.

Right I'm done after this comment mate, you're just not getting my points.

I fundamentally disagree with the idea that Foden and Diaz have decided to push themselves whereas Roberts and Sancho have decided to settle. The very idea that Sancho chose to 'settle' by moving to another top team, in a new country, in a new league, where he doesn't speak the language and doesn't know anyone is settling is just unbelievable. I don't like the kid but you just cannot argue that that move wasn't about pushing himself. Arguably Foden and Diaz have chosen to settle by just playing dead rubber games, the occasional 80th minute substitute appearance and youth leagues.

Your comments on Sessegnon would be understandable, but he doesn't have to come to city to play at the highest level. He is attracting interest from plenty of top clubs who play at the same level we do, can offer him more first team minutes and in the position he appears to want to play in. He would be daft to come here and sit behind Mendy every week, rather than actually get to prove himself somewhere like Spuds who are crying out for someone like him, and play in all the same competitions as us.

Yep.

Had a look at his playing history in the league.

PL games played since arriving in England:

14/15 x 30
15/16 x 37
16/17 x 36
17/18 x 35 (presumably will play tomorrow)

Lad never seems to be injured or suspended, so only missed games for internationals, or when his head was turned by the chance of a move to us.

Can we just make sure the Rags aren't after him, just don't want us wasting our time.
