How Fulham use him & how Guardiola would is two different things mate. It's essentially like us using Mendy as a winger. We could, but we've got better.

yes but he obviously wants to be used as winger. its got nothing to do with what guardiola wants.

if we move for him and our offer is 'you can be second choice in a position you don't want to play' he'll tell us to do one.

especially when spuds etc are crying out for more wingers.

With all due respect, has the boy told you which position he prefers?

I can see his choices now...... Left Wing at Fulham, or 2nd marauding Left Back at City.... What do you reckon he'd choose?

The one where he gets guaranteed football every week...?

Would you rather be Leroy Sane or Danilo? Its not even a difficult choice mate.

Besides thats not the point, your approach might work if he was a city fan or if we were the only offer on the table but we're not by a long shot. Plenty of clubs will offer him first choice left back or first choice left wing.

I suppose it's horses for courses. If I were Sessengnon, I'd want to test myself at the highest level & just like Sane, Jesus, Sterling, Foden & Diaz, I'd be realistic enough to know the amount of game time I'd get would be relative to my performances

Sane started the season on the bench & ended it as YPoTS & first choice, whereas Patrick Roberts chose regular first team football in Scotland. Who would you rather we have at City right now, Roberts or Sane & who would command the higher price if sold?

Mate come on, you're being ridiculous. Comparing Roberts and Sane is like my comparing my 12 year old polo with no power steering to my neighbors Porsche. Paddy Roberts career trajectory is maybe winning player of the season at Leicester or Burnley or something comfortably mid table, Leroy Sane looks like he could be top 10 in the world easily.

That aside, even if they were the exact same player their seasons would still be totally incomparable because Roberts got an unlucky injury and Leroy has been fit throughout. Jesus is equally incomparable because he was going to walk into any major team he wanted to and Sterling didn't decide to test himself at the highest level he was already playing at that level for the bin dippers.

And "test myself at the highest level like Foden and Diaz" - what side have you been watching? Diaz has less than 180 minutes and Phil is only at about 300. If that's testing yourself then its a bloody easy test.

I'm comparing a player who wants guaranteed regular football as you said Sessegnon would want, as opposed to players who are confident enough in their ability to stick it out at a big club & prove themselves. You drew the regular football comparison, not me so I can't see why you're now splitting hairs over Sane who came & fought for his place, or Roberts who opted for glory at easily the best team in Scotland.

Talking about Roberts, have you seen yesterday's Sky interview? 12 months after going against the club's wishes & demanding a return to Scotland, he now wants to come back to the PL with either City or another club.

At some point the realisation will hit young players that they can either settle, or push themselves. If Sessegnon does as you expect & opts for regular football above trying to test himself at the highest level, then he's not the player for City.

In terms if Foden & Diaz, they could have done what Sancho & Roberts did, but credit to both players for having the belief in their abilities to stay put, learn & try to prove they deserve to be at City. That's the players I want. If you're happy to settle, then that's your business mate.

At the beginning of the season would you have said Mane, Firmino and Salah would be enough to win the CL? Honest question. Btw I would have a Sane, Aguero or Jesus, Mahrez line up myself.

Like I said earlier, was only a matter of time some genius brought up Salah as an example to not look for marquee players. Let's all use exceptions to prove rules.

Fact is the way Manchester City play means we need MUCH better than Mane and co. Not quite sure why people don't get this elementary thing.

We don't play like Liverpool to have the possibility to reach the UCL final with a midfield of Milner Henderson Can NOR with a front 3 like Liverpool's. So ffs stop reasoning by simple but completely incorrect analogies.
