If we signed him, where would he play? I take it he plays on the right which we have sterling and bernado there.

He'd presumably play on the right (most games but interchanging with Sterling) and Bernardo can move more infield (interchanging with Silva). Fit, consistent, and knows how to put the laces through a ball in the box.

I did think that, but im sure someone on here said bernardo has has never played in the middle.

He would be amazing in our team but I just feel we need more muscle at this time. We need cover for Fernandinio. Ideally he would be silvas replacement as I only see one more season for him at city.

I imagine if we went back to July 2015 and asked Delph if he thought he'd win a league title, he'd have said yes. But if we'd asked him if he thought he'd win a title playing most his games at left-back, he'd likely have said no.

I think Guardiola sees footballers first as intelligent players whom he can mould and shape to the team structure needed to win that particular game. Bernardo will play anywhere he is asked and, I imagine, thrive.

Bernardo was a 10 in Benfica's academy. Played as a wing playmaker in 4222 at Monaco, moving inside. Sidibe (RB) occupied the entire flank.

He's definitely not a winger in the usual sense of the word, and was reportedly bought to play centrally, as Silva's heir.

In regards to him bettering his goals/assist record with us, I can't see him playing anywhere near the amount of games he does with Leicester.

Maybe.

Sterling 3,658 minutes
Sane 3,618 minutes
Mahrez 3,329 minutes

The first two are young, however, and need a mental as well as physical break, especially if both involved in the World Cup; we may also have another 540 minutes of playing time to go round next year. :-)
