I think you should read back on what I said a while ago :
"And rightly so that we "walked" last time.
Why would I feel afraid of being outnumbered in a debate. Not so much an eagle ... more a cock atoo.

It’s hard to soar like an eagle when you’re working with turkeys!

In bygone years, whilst I never really flapped about anybody coming or not, I could understand others do, especially those with nervous dispositions or lacking in patience.

This year, we are fine tuning our squad. We already have the best squad in the league and one of the best in Europe.

Should the worst happen with this deal and he not come (which looks very slim at present), I'm sure Pep and the rest of the recruitment team have a second choice. That player is likely to be awesome too.

Whilst we can't rest on our laurels, we should all be happy to have seen the best football the premier league has ever seen and trust in our team.

The only thing we should be getting depressed about is England being shit.

Hi Karen I run a very successful one thanks . Been negotiating deals for a long time. Being prepared to walk away and call the others bluff is a well used technique when used correctly. Ever heard of Robert Townsend Karen? His book is a good read. I think City carry out their transfer business with aplomb these days. They keep their negotiations very private, they clearly have a value they place on each player before they enter discussions with another club and wont go above that valuation as shown with Sanchez and Mahrez. When on both occasions they have walked away. People on here have short memories.

You seem to think that what was the reason the deal didn't get done in January is the reason it is stalling now. It is true that we didn't offer enough money to entice Leicester to sell to us then. But that wasn't the real issue, the real issue was that we didn't give Leicester enough time to replace their star player. Had we offered £100 million they would have accepted it not because that was Mahrez's real value but because it was sufficient compensation for them to lose their star player without replacing him. Now Leicester have almost a full window to replace him added to that Mahrez was told he could leave in the summer. If this deal doesn't get done in this window it won't be greed that stops it. If you want to ignore what is in the public domain to support your blinkered view don't have a go at those who see the delay for what it is - International Football.
