I don’t think he was basing it on actual statistical data.
It was just a turn of phrase, like saying we shot under-par. I think he was right in what he was saying, there’s absolutely no way we’ll get 100 points next season.

Are Leicester waiting to get a replacement in before agreeing to the deal? I thought that Roberts we be that if he agrees to go the other way.

I think you'll find that most level headed posters on here would agree with you on that. It was a truly phenomenal season. Only 14 points dropped. Him not being in the world cup helps . Him being desperate to play for us also helps. No need to rush , as no one else in the frame for him too

“Mean” is basically another way of saying “average”.
So he’s saying Salah and City overachieved last season and will probably return to their normal level next year.
Or maybe we are raising our mean, bit by bit.
