Robbie to Barca done deal apparently ??

How many asssists and goals has he got since January this year ? WHers he going to play who are you going to drop ? Bellamy ? Hes our best player at the moment by far ! Petrov was exceptional when he got a game he cant even get on as sub.

He doesnt work for the team, left wing is not he favoured postion. We play with a big forward and one in behind, Tevez or Ireland - both hardworking players better suited to the roll that produce the goods every week every time they play.

Who do you drop to let him play shit away and when the weather is bad ?

Things are going very well the formation works we have the right players for it with plenty of cover we dont need him. If he starts instead of Bellamy we will loose games we would have won its as simple as that. Also I honestly believe Petrov is better for the team in that position over a full season more than adequate cover for Bellamy.

I really hope we sell him in January and get a world class right winger thats what the team actually needs.

But Robinho has been used as a striker before now, whereas Ribery is an out and out winger. With Bellamy and Adebayor grabbing goals and Tevez, SWP and Ribery grabbing a few too, I'd be more than happy with that. I visualise Ribery attacking the left supplying crosses, SWP doing the same with Bellamy and Tevez doing the graft. If, and it is a big if, Robinho goes and we manage to bring in Ribery as his replacement, I don't see how anyone can have any complaints.

Would love to have Ribery if Robbie went....But if we cant keep Robbie then what chance of even entertaining the idea of Ribery.??

It's not a matter of us not being able to 'keep' Robbie from the overtures of say, PSG, Fenerbache, Bayern, established European clubs as they are, they are no 'bigger' than us in terms of what I was saying yesterday about unique clubs. No, we're unable to 'keep' him from the chance of going to argueably the biggest, most illustrious club in the world, especially if you're a south american. I don't ever remember reading about Ribery's dream to play for Bayern, so with the right amount of money I think we have every chance of getting him, it all depends who enters the race wiith us though then.

Tin hat on.

I think its good business to sell him. Yes hes exceptional and world class when he feels like it.

Unfortunately he doesnt show up away from home or when the weather is bad. Or if he is in a mood which is frequently.

If he wants to move to Barca can we really blame him ? With the form of Bellamy and Petrov do we really need him ? We have been unlucky in a couple of games and we are still 4th with a game in hand. Hes made 0% contribution to our team for a fair while now going back to pre christmas 08.

Does he merit a place in the team based on his recent form ? No on all counts.

Sell him and go all out for Ribbery or the best right midfield player money can buy (and will come)

The simple fact is we have moved on. Hes not suited to our league or the way we play, people might not want to hear it but it makes sense to sell him and bring in a player better suited to our league - preferably on the right were we need other options.

Its a bit like the Elano myth selling Robinho would have to effect at all on our season with the strength of our squad. I would argue selling him and bringing in a more suitable right footed wide player would actually make us stronger.

He doesn't turn up when the weathers bad, when has the weather been really bad so we can judge whether the weathers had an effect on his performance? I admit he's been poor away from home but the same can be said for most of the squad last season but i don't buy the he only turns up when the weathers good

Robinho has made zero contriubution going back pre christmas last year? IMO thats complete bullsh*t as just this season in the 3 games he started he had a hand in 3 of our 4 goals and made Paul Robinson pull of two very good saves in our opening game at Blackburn and lets not mention his excellent performance against Wigan at home when we went down to 10 men, or his excellent performance away at Everton, at home to Blackburn and away against Liverpool and thats just off the top of my head although i'm well aware there was games where he was poor during that period

Ribery the best right midfielder money can buy? When was the last time Ribery played a run of games on the right side of midfield? He's only ever played in the French, Turkish and German leauges, whats to say he's going to be as good as you seem to think he will be judging by your comments?

If it's in the sun it must be true.........

Actually it was in the Daily Mail of all plaices my brother blue. They are the worst of the worst, the lowest of the low, the scumyist amongst scum.

I don't think i've ever seen a sports "exclusive" of theirs that has been true. You can always tell when a paper is running a None Story page filler.

A. There isn't a single quote from either of the concening parties to be found anywhere.
B. It's simpley in the Daily Mail (nuff said)

I mean come on. These are the same people who anounced we would see "Inflatable Mourges" set up in Britains streets to cope with the 40 million deaths caused by swine flu......

Exactley.

I couldent be assed reading through 19 pages of shit to see if anyone had said this but quotes from the official site and go on and have a look yourself. "Bowen has said that robinho IS NOT Leaving City. He is still a big part of Hughes's plans" So some people get of your high horses!!

I fail to comprehend some people's thinking on here at times. The weather affects a world class players performance, when he played in Madrid for a few seasons. LOL.

Robinho's world class, he had a great season last year, and carried an injury during the winter months, which might explain this fallacy that he 'doesn't like the rain'.

Once he comes back, gets into full gear and shows people what he's capable of, everyone will forget this really strange phase people are going through when they're blind to talent and want to sell world class players at our club.

City would be foolish to let Robi go! Players like Robi will take us to the next level. Top 4 shouldn't be the goal, winning the Champs League should be. In my opinion, a fit Robi and adding a player like Maicon or Cesc is all this team really needs to get there too.

Robbie is world class. For me, he is played out of position and he should be played in the centre ahead of midfield playing off another striker.

Robbie is a flair player with natural world class talent and his ability is being wasted. We all want to see every player working hard for the team and putting in a shift but different players have different roles. I don't expect him to be darting up and Down the wing, I expect him to score goals, exploit space and create assists.

I personally would hate to see him leave but if Barca are sniffing I can see him leaving come January.
