If we got our money back then i don't see a problem. He is not a Hughes sort of player.Look at all the other forwards...grafters with flair.Robbie is just a flair player.Love him to bits but can see him going either in January or at the end of the season.

This .... I think.....

....Trouble is we've seen so little of Robby of late. It's hard to judge.

I have to say that on occasions last season he left me awestruck... but on others he left me frustrated ....

On balance I'd like the option of Robby but he's got to show that he can do the gritty stuff (e.g. tackling, tracking back etc...sorry but these skills are part of the game) ..you can't just cherry pick what you want to do for a team.

Honestly Dom how many times do you see Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka etc track back and put tackles in? No more than Robinho and theres a reason for that and it's that they're not very good

I will cry if Robinho leaves I would buy my season ticket just to watch this guy alone he is world class most skillful player I ever seen in a blue shirt (i'm only 25) better than Benarbia yes Better than Kinkladze yes better than Berkovic yes I could go on and on he is the best 14 Goals from left wing in his 1st 8 months of the season is not bad going so he never tracks back but a previous post says does Ronaldo Kaka Messi track back no they don't Robinho is in there bracket when he is fit he will single handedly walk into the team because Hughes knows how good he is at unlocking defences and i'm affraid SWP will be benched Bellamy will play Right and Rob back on the left can't believe people are writing him off he is a BRAZILIAN INTERNATIONAL FFS come on Robinho forget Barcelona and help us win major trophys i'm itching for us to win anything :)

Messi does twice as much running as Robinho & actually tackled him & Elano several times in the last game v Brazil, where Kaka also did a fair amount of tracking back. I'd hate to see Robinho go as I think he's fantastic to watch but that doesn't mean he wouldn't be a better player by working a bit harder when things aren't happening for him.

If the story isn't true (which I hope it isn't) as Robinho is world class then city and Robinho need to put the story to bed and stop the media from printing this shit, It isn't even November yet and we have stories emerging how we are selling our prized asset for £500,000 profit.

Get this!

................Given.................
........................................
Zabo...Toure...Lescott...Bridge
.........................................
..........De Jong....Barry..........
.........................................
Tevez.......Robinho.......Bellamy
.........................................
...............Adebayor..............

Taylor, Richards, Kompany, Ireland, SWP, Petrov, Santa Cruz

Robinho is going nowhere! Mark my words chaps.

1. What incentive other than a swap deal for either Messi (plus cash from us, never gunna happen ofcourse), Iniesta or Xavi Hernandes could Barcelona offer us to part with such a predigious talent as Robinho? Let's face it. There isn't a financial deal that Barca could afford to prize Robbie away from us. He's more than just a player for our owners. He's the very symbol of what they want the "New" Man City to be all about. They still very much want to build a squad around him.

2. In January we lose Adebayor to the African Cup of Nations for anywhere upto over a month. Take this into account along with the fact that nobody ever really sells the big name players mid season and this also leads me to believe Robbie will be staying.

3. I genuinely believe Robbie adors Man City and Us, The Fans who STILL chant "We've got Robinho" when he weaves his magic. He knows we are just as amazed and honoured to have a player of his genuine class at our great club as we were when he first arrived. And he knows we adore him as much as he loves us. Plus i'm sure he really wants to do well here. He will ofcourse have noted the fantastic start to the season we've had and i'm sure will be simpley bursting to get on the field alongside the likes of Ade, Tevez, Barry and Bellamy. Can you really see him wanting to leave us if come January we are in or around the top 4? I'm sure he'd be as fired up as the rest of us to push on for Champions League football next term.

All in All i think Robbie will be here for many seasons to come. Ofcourse these rumours will bound around. Not just up untill January either but untill Robbie himself comes out and rubbishes the claims. Which he won't. And why should he? Being linked with Barcelona must be very flattering.

I'm in no doubt that Pep Guardiola would love Robbie at Barca. But i'm affraid even though it's Barca we are talking about, We're one of only two clubs who could resist them. The others being Real Madrid.

Anyway. These are my thoughts on the matter. Am i being a bit Naive? I guess only time will tell. But i'm very confident Robbie will be a City legend in years to come.

Our owners are not stupid or need the money if this is meant to be we must have a plan B (get someone equal or bigger)
there is no way we get rid of world stars and replace them with average players.

I really, really don't see why people think we have to get rid of Robbie just because we are doing ok without him. Pure insanity.

To be honest I don't think many people, if any, think that at all. What it is, is that if Robinho WANTS to go and we are doing well without him, there is no point in keeping him. If he wants to go to a more illustrious club, good luck to the kid. I'm sure Ribery will be just as good if not better.

Has Robbie actually come out and said he wants to go ?? I think he's said that one day he would like to play for Barca...This has been taken so far out of context its unreal.
Official site today say hes staying and is important to our plans..
