That's us fucked for Sunday then.

Why?
This has no bearing on Sunday whatsoever.
Whoever gets the Chelski gig will pick their strongest side, and Mancini will do the same.

Assuming that whoever comes in takes over for the first game, and doesn't sit in the stands.

If they get Pep in before Sunday they will batter us. :(
How so? They will be buoyed, no doubt about that but do you think he, (Pep), will instantly arrive at Chelsea, sprinkle some dust and transform them into an exact replica of his Barca side? That's the only way they would 'batter' us but unless you're extremely naive, that simply will not happen. Pep had a fantastic group of players to work with at Barca and whilst I don't doubt his ability, to think he could do the exact same at another club with another group of players is naive.

According to some posters on here we may as well not bother turning up on Sunday especially if pepsi guadicola gets the job. Who ever is in charge wont have had time to stamp their authority on the team and get them playing to his system. 'Smaller' clubs sometimes get a bounce as they all try to impress the manager but can some of you get real in what you are posting.

One constant in the press over the last four years is the absurd notion that there is some equivalence in terms of the MO of our owners and that of Abramovich.

Other than plentiful supplies of oil and a capacity to inspire tiresome levels of snobbery from established clubs with 'istree and their equally tiresome supporters, it is difficult to see any meaningful comparisons in how they both operate their football clubs.

Our good fortune to have the owners we do extends well beyond their largesse, I'm glad to say.
