Who actually cares?

Depay and Firmino... Utd are shopping in the B list market and not the A list market. No threat to us whatsoever signings these kind of players.

Firmino B list lol what qualifies him for that list compared to say Sterling for example? Firmino is top notch and if he's signing for United at anything like that price then they've got themselves a bargain.

Kovacic is a far better talent for me. If City should be after someone young with shit loads of potential, we should be all over this kid and not Firmino. Not saying he would command a starting spot straight away, but we can slowly nurture his talent and make the lad a star.

De Bruyne is also on a different planet to Firmino. Much more complete player and there is a reason why he won Bundesliga player of the year.

i agree on kovacic but respect who the club feel is the right player.

I'll have a pop and say you rate KDB and Kovacic (wtf!) higher because they play for bigger clubs meantime so naturally have a bigger reputation. How can a player who plays for little hoffenheim be any good eh?

'If he's that good all the big clubs would be in for him'. Just like they were for Kompany, Zabaleta, De Jong when we signed them and the likes of Matic for Chelsea and Coutinho for Liverpool. It's just not true. There ARE top bargains to be had, Firmino is one of them.

No I don't actually, it's just I've seen more in them to know they are genuine genuine talents. Firmino is a good player don't get me wrong, but I feel there are better targets out there. If he came to City, I would be happy that we have signed him, but by no means would he be top of my list and if he went elsewhere, I wouldn't be that gutted either. If Griezmann or Reus signed for another prem club, I would be pissed off and gutted, that's the difference for me. Marquee signings of genuine star quality.

Inter Milan are hardly good now are they? Wolfsburg aren't exactly brilliant are they? It's got nothing to do with what team they play for. He isn't a signing of intent and this season, our club needs signings of intent instead of gambles that are not guaranteed.

This is why I would sign Lacazette, Pogba and De Bruyne for sure. Pogba is one of the best in Europe at such a young age, KDB Bundesliga player of the year and Lacazette French ligue player of the year, we need to cherry pick the best talents from all of the other leagues in Europe. We need the ones that are setting the benchmark.

As for Matic, he was Portuguese player of the year before Chelsea signed him.
 
I reckon we should sign Firmino and Martinez just for a laugh and in the first press conference of the season Pellegrini is like "Our philosophy was to fuck up the rags transfer window, mission accomplished."
