Roberto Mancini - next Italy manager

This.
That night at the Etihad when he stood up to bacon face will always be remembered.
The Colin Bell stand to a man roared him on that night.
Sadly the board in his eyes did not try hard enough to get RVP and the rest as they say is history.
That was one of the best nights I've ever experienced as a blue. They were frightened to death of us on the field and Mancini gave it to baconface on the touchline as well.

But let's clear up the RVP story. He asked for him and we had him tied down to a deal before Xmas. But the board had made it clear that because of FFP one of the four existing strikers had to go to accommodate him.

And Tevez & Aguero were considered to be irreplaceable so that left Dzeko & Balotelli. We received an excellent offer from PSG for Mario but Mancini wouldn't let him go, hoping we could get rid of Dzeko. We couldn't so lost out on RVP. Had Mancini let Balotelli go, then things might have been different.

And De Rossi just didn't want to move. Nothing anyone could have done about that.

I love Bobby for his achievements, his arrogance and the fact he rode a bike to training. Maybe he was too confrontational for modern players but what is wrong with wanting them to put a real shift in for the rewards they get.

He is my number one city hero which I do not say lightly. A true legend.

Blimey, he's let himself go a bit.

Mancini would of been an interesting choice for England manager, would of been a far better signing than allardyce
agreed. He was the outstanding candidate for the job, in my eyes anyway.
how the fa could appoint a manager who used to go to old trafford with a weakened team cos he didnt think they had a chance of winning,a manager who has never won anything in his life, instead of a manager who switched countries, said he would drag the banner down , won the fa cup in his first full season, the title the year after and transformed Manchester City football club....it beggars belief.

Mancini will always be a hero of mine. Forget the title, he stood up to that whisky nosed clown from across the way and made him back down. No one else did that.
Nobody else ever did it, not Souness Wilkinson Dalgleish Graham Vialli Wenger Ranieri Robson Mourinho Benitez Ancelotti...

The piss can was so used to football managers kissing his arse, Roberto gesturing with that wonderful thumb and fingers indication right at his purple nose knocked his stupid, bullying purple nose for six.
