Very underrated manager is our Bobby.
this place is misleading, he is held in high esteem by most City fans.

Correct, George.

It's only a handful of posters on here who constantly still call Mancini.

Re: Mancini back to Inter?

Mancini's intensity is both his biggest strength and greatest flaw but he was exactly what we needed at the time and made us winners again. Don't get me wrong I've loved MP's style of play last season especially but Bobby made us solid and hard to beat then he slowly added to the creativity of the side. It's still the backrock of players that he mostly signed that have carried us on.

Re: Mancini back to Inter?

I would have Roberto back tmrw, and I don't think the club should have let player power oust him, he was a winner and most of all stood up to fergie a top guy.

Mancini on Sky talking about City

Said he still has the club in his heart and wouldn't rule out returning one day. He thought the 'Holistic' term was just nonsense the club said after they sacked him.

He said Pellegrini is a good manager and doing a good job, and that the team has improved. But the poignant thing he said was that the big players in the team - Yaya, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, were all players he brought to the club, (and Zabba and Kompany, who he clearly got the best out of.)

As I've said before, the last world class player we bought was Aguero in 2011. That's 3 and a half years since we bought a truly exceptional player. I think 3 things stick out about that:

1. That despite what some people might profess, FFP has already had a very real impact on our progress, and limited our ability to sign the best talent in the world.

2. Even Mancini's biggest critic must admit he was a very good judge of a player.

3. Txiki has done some excellent work, but the quality of the players he has brought in during the last 3 years have not greatly improved the first team so far.

Re: Mancini on Sky talking about City

Take him back in a heartbeat. I think the squad back then was in general a lot more more troublesome and I dream of what/where we would be now with the squad rid of its troublesome players.
