Robhino vs Kinkladze

I posted this in another thread and it's well worth watching Kinky at his best.

I know it's early days and the standard of football these days is higher, but can you see Rob doing this?

Kinkladze was absoluteley fantastic and an artist..... Robbie is just a goal machine.

Kinkladze by a mile

He did it for City and not for himself

Make no mistake, I love having Robbie here

whilst i was a big fan of Kinkladze, I don't EVER recall him grabbing a game by the scruff of the neck as he should have done so your theory falls flat at the first hurdle for me, scored some great individual goals don't get me wrong but he never 'commanded' a game as you say

Regards Robinho far too early to say for me......don't forget not long since people were comparing Michael Johnson to Colin Bell which I found an absolute sleight on the King but hey, you only have to have half a dozen games to be called a 'legend' in today's game

Jaiiiiisus, I'm turning into a grumpy old man and I'm only 37!

You must have a poor memory then because in the game he did turn it on (not enough with his talent) he was virtually a one man team with a load of shit around him. Let me refer you to Alan Ball's first win against Villa and a one man show against the best team in the country at the time, Newcastle, where he absolutely took the pi$$ surrounded by a woeful team.

I'm not expressing an opinion about the original question but if you are of the belief that Robinho has 'run a game' in a comparable manner since he has been here then you must be on some strong shit. As brilliant as some of the stuff he has done has been, he spends huge chunks of every game on the edge of it. Something that will hopefully change when the manager finally manages to mould an averagely functioning football team

That was the most mesmerising performance I've ever seen from a City player.
