With Aguero in the team he was never in a million years going to be a focal point. Honestly, players demanding positions.. Who on earth do they think they are?

Just to be perfectly clear, I was making reference to him stinking the place up for Holland last night, his apparent smacked arse not being the focal point.

And, not, what posters have mistakenly taken as to any demands made to City.

Van Persie demands not the problem. Just chatter things have cooled last few days.

RVP will end up at Juve if he leaves Arsenal, which is good because that's one less suitor for Cavani or Falcao :). My preferred striker would be Falcao as a replacement for Dzeko and Higuain as a replacement for Tevez.

Falcao
Balo
Higuain
Aguero

Now that is good

could it be possibly be that we're waiting for him to make a decision?

rvp was crap for Holland always so it's not surprise he didn't have a good euro nor it should be the reason to buy him or not.

The reason to not buy him is the money involved in player of his age with single one great season in himself. And I don't care he was usually injured in any of previous seasons - that's his problem and another reason to not buy him.

Shame tolmie and the rest are saying rvp is a no go

I for one would have loved him here

I just scanned through quickly but could not see this, when did Tolmie say that?
TH:
"I have tried argue for the pursuit of Van Persie, what he will bring to the table.

However, having watched him last night, and recent games, I can now accept why there is plenty of opposition to it.

I have never liked the numbers involved, related to giving Arsenal money and his age/injury record.

He's not interested if he's not the focal point, bad stench coming from him at present and for that reason, I'm out, and maybe we are too...and some chatter is we may have already pulled plug.

To the Cavani thread...."

Ignorance is bliss

would 100% rather have torres over van persie, fits with our style of play more, knows aguero from atletico, plus i think hes getting back to his best.... would score a bucketload of goals for us easily

Is this deal dead in the Water? Well RVP's head is not right and we might have dodged a bullet if true.

According to Danish foorball forum bold.dk, skysports (didn't bother to check it out) claim that Giroud will sign for Arsenal. With both Podolski and Giroud (if it turns out to be true), comming to Arsenal, it is possible that an agreement regarding RVP was made before the Euros.

I Would rather that we just went ahead with the strikers we already have than swap one (possibly Dzeko) for RVP.

Thats what the chatters saying.

Thanks for that. I take it Cavani is Plan A? If it is let the Napoli saga begin.

Huntelaar the goal hunter ha a better killer header in his locker and is very young cmon ,I reckon a bid from us during the summer is likely.

It's Goal, but at least if it's true, we are doing a sensible thing.

Nevertheless, I'm more surprised we are actually TRYING to sign RVP when we have 4 strikers.

Essentially the same as RVP.
