Do people actually believe this or is it something we say on Bluemoon to actually make us fell better?

They spent over 50 million plus last summer plus Smalling and have spent 20 million this summer already plus having a 30 million bid accepted for Hazard.

I must admit that it makes me smile as well every time I read that the rags are skint. I think they spent more than us last season, and are already up £20m this close season.

The rags business model is predicated on them being the biggest and best. Second place will not sustain them financially. I said after the end of season celebrations had simmered down that baconface will be out all guns blazing this season. They simply cannot afford another season like the last one.

In my humble opinion they will spend lots this transfer window. The most valuable sporting entity in the world can call on loans if necessary.

If this share issue fucks up, they will have to recoup the money to finance these transfers from somewhere.

The Glazers will not fund it.

So who paid out the £60m last season? And the £20m this season so far?

Have trhe rags been taken over and no one knows about it?

If there's one thing Utd aren't is skint, there turnover ensures that...if they were skint as some on here believe the last thing they would be doing at the moment is spending close to £20mill on works at Carrington

They will not pay silly money if the figures don't add up, that does not mean they are skint

The question you should ask, is what is their spend since Ronaldo left ? And how much have they brought in ?

And the question you should ask is.."Why do I have to answer a question with another question, instead of just answering the first question..."

The question is pointing to the answer. It should be judged over a period, not on one season.

Their net spend has been next to fuck all since the sale of Ronaldo, so they are now spending a few quid because they are worried about losing their status. It's not a thing they'll do each year, it's a neccessity which they will have to pay for.

If the share issue fucks up, they'll sell Rooney or similar to pay for this next season.

Irrespective of their financial plight it seems to me

The Glazers will always back Baconface with money provided they are sensible, represent value for money and comply with their wage structure. I get the impression that they are linking themselves to a lot of superstars knowing full well they won't get them but if they do they will be for ridiculously low sums, but such as Moura I reckon they will break the bank because they may see him as another Ronaldo where they spend thirty odd million today knowing they will sell at the appropriate time for fifty or sixty million to Real Madrid.

For me it is like the bloke who attends an auction for luxury cars with a couple of grand in his pocket, yes he will make a bid, knowing he won't get the top of the range Merc but if he did he has an absolute bargain.

They certainly haven't got the spending power that they had pre Glazers that is for sure.Just think of the money they are going to have to replace Rio,Vidic,Evra,Fletcher,Berbatov,Chicharito,Anderson and even the bald headed scouse **** in the next two seasons.

They are almost fucked financially and the burden on Fergusons head to keep them in the top four is immense-they are floating before Ferguson throws a seven.

Can someone point me in the direrection of bluemoon please, I seem to have stumbled onto a RAG forum..

Cheers

They have got priorities all over the pitch mate

I would agree but Baconface the master wizzard has all this youth he keeps banging on about notwithstanding has two 40 year olds still playing. :-)

The cash they made on Ronaldo plus some other minor sales was sat in the bank for years whilst they spent less net than most Prem teams, balancing spending with their mates paying stupid money for their castoffs.

The Glazers recently trousered the cashflow money & then spent it on the debt. Now they are trying to raise transfer cash with this share issue.

That avenue seems to be almost closed, can't see QPR taking too many of Baconfaces' rejects (Ooooooops quality players nurtured through the best academy in the world).

There whole squad needs overhauling and Fergusons cheese will soon slide off his cracker :-)

They are floating because they are fucked, makes me feel warm inside anyway!

I detest manchester united with a passion which comes from 53 years of having to listen to them and their arrogant ways, and listen about them from their sycophanstic media friends BUT can we ffs stop talking about them as if they are finished - we pipped them to it last season when they had a shit team, they will likely have a better team this time round and we would ignore their threat at our peril - I have been reading in this forum for 3 years + that they are no longer a threat but they still are - thanks fuck Bobby is not as ignorant and arrogant as we are on this issue - they are used to winning games on a scrappy basis, they are used to getting more decisions going for them than against them from shit officials, and that will not suddenly disappear (I hope it fucking does, mind)

Quite correct, never underestimate your enemy. If they sign him they will have a strikeforce second to none. We won the league last season through the skin of our teeth, they are the team to beat and finish above. I do think they have money issues (Glazers I just love them) and I do think that their debt has caused a slowing down on the buying side. In the old days they would have thought nothing about blowing 30 -35m on a player, they did and created new British transfer records as they went along. I believe they have one arm tied behind their backs in the transfer market and that has allowed us to match them but again IMO we haven't overtaken them completely.
