at the highest level games are won and lost in midfield, if they don't address their problems in the centre of the pitch it doesnt matter how many forwards they buy

and if buying rvp means they have less now to spend on a world class cm, it is the most short sighted transfer of recent history - a showpony transfer to make the media and potential investors believe they can still get the top players
kagawava (or wtf his name is) will do the business for them in midfield, im afraid.

Ok, we saw your posts the first three times but there is a thread on him in the transfer forum...so posters can comment on any developments of his transfer, surely?

sorry pal. i thougth he'd signed for them.

Trust me on this;
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2187160/Sir-Alex-Ferguson-fears-Arsene-Wenger-block-Robin-van-Persie.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... ersie.html</a>

United are unwilling to increase their offer for Van Persie given the lukewarm reception to their share issue in New York this week.

They have not got, never did have, and now have no hope of gaining in the near future, the funds to make a serious on the table offer, let alone complete this deal

Scholes won't be able to play 2 games in a week, he's 38 this year. They need someone who's actually going to play centre-mid, although I agree that Kagawa was a cracking buy, he's only one of the midfielders they needed, an attacking midfielder.
They're in need of a Witsel or De Rossi or Vidal imo. They should've gone for Asamoah formerly of Udinese before Juventus got him.

This window turns into a real disaster both United and chelsea make world class purchases and we are linked with Jack and Scott HAHA

WTF
Ps.
i can understand Mancini is pissed off
Linked mate, we get linked with every ****, but we don't buy any.

If we get Sinclair and they get RVP anyone bet the rags will be singing something similar to the Phil Jones /Aguero tune ? .......worst transfer window ever ....not that we have not signed anyone just that it has been so damn boring ....

fully agree. really strange and very disappointing

Still think, as Tolmie alluded to, that all these big name transfer links to United are just for the benefit of the NYSE

Remember the journalist quote ''more transfer leaks than ever coming out of United this summer!''

Leaks.
Leaks, shrek and baconface on sky openly inviting rvp to the swamp

Same game, just stepped up.

good player but not the type i'm talking about

The NYSE deal was supposed to net £235M, of which £75M was to be paid directly to the Glaziers and a further £100M of short term American debt was to be tied to UTD. So far the stock release has raised £18.8M so UTD are about to see their £435M debt raise to £825M overnight and will remain so on their balance sheet untill the value of their stock roll-out is fulfilled. This whilst it remains unresolved will on current income and expenditure run them dangerously close to contravening FFP. As things currently stand they do not have a pot to piss in.

I just can't see how two players like Rooney and RVP can both be fairies at the top of the Christmas tree with the team playing for them? How both can be the central point if the team , take penalties etc. united seem the last team that are right for RVP

Are the majority on here complete pillocks this news has come from a twitter acc called agent itk are you all gone soft in the head. How could you take that seriously.

It will be interesting where Berbatov will land up as they haven't even attempted in shifting him yet.

And how it will effect Hernandes and alter the progress on Welbeck.

True a vanity signing for them.

They will loan Welbeck to Arsenal as part of the deal so that he can have Wenger improve him and play against rivals but he wouldn't be able to play against them, win win situation. Bit like Ade going to Spurs. :-(
