Another masterstroke by bobby manc, after shakin bacon coming out all misty eyed saying rvp isn't happening, roberto cranks up the pressure by stating he's a united player when every man and his dog knows utd havn't got a prayer of signing him...

Am fucking pissing my pants laughing at mancinis latest mindgames...pure genius!!!

I don't think it was mind games.

I think he's trying to tell Marwood to sort his fucking act out so RVP could be a City player rather than a United player.

I think it was a stupid comment. If SAF thought we were still in the hunt, he'd be more inclined to either pull out of the chase, or to spend stupid money. Either of which would be a good thing.

Telling SAF he can have RVP merely strengthens SAFs hand in the negotiations with L'Arse.
It puts more pressure on Marwood

No need to over analyse. It's obvious we're not in the race and can't keep up any pretence

I'm not over analysing.

I'm not saying it puts pressure on him to sign RVP but it does put pressure on him to sign someone.

No need to keep reaffirming how much you don't want RVP.

I think Bobby is just being honest. RSC and Ade can't be shifted and we simply are in no position to bring in another striker. RVP won't be joining us... RSC and Ade may both leave on loan but they will hang on until 6pm on deadline day.

I'm not ITK and despite the promise of "bombs" I think we may have to content ourselves with a couple of low profile signings this window - whilst we clear out the mistakes from the Hughes era. The really important lesson must be to not repeat these mistakes - people like Ade were obviously signed in good faith but he value of the contract is breathtakingly excessive. Once the Hughes deadwood is out of the way we should have plenty of options to bring in new players and strengthen the squad. We literally have 100s of millions in wages tied up in players Bobby will never play.

I wasnt. That ship sailed a week ago

Aguero - not going anywhere
Balo - not going anywhere
Tevez - not going anywhere
Dzeko - not going anywhere

Unless the above suddenly changes and we do sell only then will we re enter the race. IMO this is over and the sooner people realise the better. :-)

What I do believe is maybe Mancini instructed them to get rid of either Dzeko or Tevez but because of lack of interest the deals are not compatible with how we value the players, sometimes managers can't always get what they want.

I think it is time to move on.

well i will not enter into this mancini marwood debate but wth of getting RVP 29 ( more than 200 000 £ week ) when there is aguero, tevez, dzeko, balotelli, Ade, RSC, Guidetti thats too much money unless 3 or 4 are out

i don't know what's the negociations with RVP but he wants to come 150 000 or let every player to consider city as cash cow !!

Yes well said mate, I think a Sanchez type winger would bring the best out of Dzeko so that's where the cash should be spent... And I'm not suggesting Sinclair is the answer for all the control freak oracles on here

We only have one space available for the CL squad, 2 if we promote Johansen to being third keeper. We only have 3 spots for prem league squad. If we sign any superstars they will insist on being in both. Getting a Sinclair he may be content with PL only and miss out on CL footie and so I suspect any deal for him is being delayed while that last spot or two for CL is filled. I also reckon Nielsen will be thrid keeper meaning only one spot available UNLESS one of the current squad leaves and that excludes RSC and Ade.
