I don't know how anybody can even suggest playing Kompany Centre half ahead of Ned.Nedum is getting better and better by the week and could be anything if he stays free of injury.Kompany on the other hand has no pace and a tendency to swich off at times.

That's an interesting perspective on it Wilf. It is definitely Distinesque though personally I think he'd have tried to run the ball out of play instead. I have still have nightmares about Jason Roberts because of SD. Really though I don't think you can judge that tackle with a snapshot; that is the tranny he's snapping so it's hard to tell where the ball was two seconds earlier and you have to seize an opportunity sometimes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. THE BEST brazillian players don't come to the UK because they know they aint up to it.

I hate to refer to players from the dark side, but those 2 twins over at the swamp seem to be doing ok, especially the one that plays right-back, considering he is the same age as Micah I know which one I'd have in the team after this season(and it ain't Micah) ok they maybe not superstars now but they will be. Perhaps the secret is toget them into English football at an early age so they have time in the reserves to get used to the tempo and intensity of the game. I've not seen enough of Lusaio to comment on whether he would cut it in our league, but if the club think he could, then thats ok by me.one thing you can say about Hughes is that he does his homework on players on and off the pitch, including if they will fit into the English lifestyle.

i'm glad you said that as i've thought that for awhile, the switch off bit at least. Mind you froglips had that rep when he was at west ham but he was young then and he turned out okay.

don't get me wrong though, i do rate VK highly mind you.

Don't believe the rag press, he is good attacking wise for a full-back but thats all you really need for United when the majority of the teams won't attack you. Notice how he never plays the big games, fair enough he played vs an injured Robinho but we didn't attack much in that game.

anyway, luisao seems pretty good to me, bruno is my first choice but i'd take him anyway.
think alot of comments on richards have been pretty harsh too tbh, since he's been playing full back again he's look fairly good (more often than not) for me.

also need to rid of this 2 DM's shit and play robbie just off a big man and buy a new LW, would say petrov but he's not looking good for the comeback and doesn't look like he gives 2 shits. all for selling elano again too after spurs display... seems like he only wants to play with his compatriot... and when they do play together they only look to pass to one another. bridge isnt too bad going forward but seems to forget he's a fullback and has his priorities way mixed up.

need 1/2 new centre halves (Bruno Alves and/or Luisao), new left full back(not sure tbh), new left winger(Ashley Young/David Silva/Andres Guardado), new right winger(mainly a bench player for me) to compete with shauny and obviously a prolific scorer (plenty: Villa/Eto'o/Gomez/Dzeko etc etc)
