Robinho Or Petrov

Definately Petrov on the left wing, then stick Robbie back up front where he belongs (well just behind the main striker). But do you think Petrov will ever regain his former glory, he's getting on a bit now.

On a side note, the only reason i would want to sign RSC is to get on the end of Petrovs crosses, think that would be a great combo.

Robinho by a country mile as he's more versatile, as you can see by people wanting him to play up front. No one would seriously suggest that about Petrov.

Robinho is primarily a striker though, and Petrov is only a winger, its just we've been playing Robbie in his 2nd position. They can both easily fit in to the team, problem resolved.

He's not asking "who is the better player, Robbie or Petrov?" because there is no doubt that Robinho is in another class to everyone else.

But rather, is there still a first team spot for Petrov when fit? Robinho has been fantastic on the wing, he's basically been a left-sided version of the Tranny, playing somewhere between the wing and striker. Petrov however, rarely ventures inside the centre third of the field (lengthways), and stays on the flank to send in the bombs.

We're not really missing Petrov, but we will definitely be stronger once he returns.

i think now we have bridge on the left it has strengthened up a lot but when petrov comes back with robbie just behind striker this will be stunning

Robinho has played as a striker/winger almost his whole career in Europe. He has scored 11 goals in 16 games and set up numerous goals. Petrov scored 5 in 37 and set up many as well. They both played in Madrid at the same time and Petrov was rarely mentioned in the same strata as Robinho. Robinho is an elite player with versatility and Petrov is an attacking winger. For me, there's no question where Robinho plays he's better than Petrov. That doesn't mean that Petrov won't be useful in the second half of the season.
