Robinho purchase was madness

You are talking rubbish he has added to the team!!!

We where crap after last Jan's transfer window...trash in the preseason..We have Robinho we need him. Some of our players are a disgrace ..aaaaaaaaaargh!!!

BCP, thats the easy answer.

Yes he has added to the team, Yes we would be in the bottom 3 without him, Yes he is brilliant.

you miss my point... for me there were bigger priorities than signing a superstar.
like - the rest of the team, the defence, the midfiled, the backbone, the keeper, team unity, the start of hard long season etc.. etc..

i'm glad he's here, cos he might just save us.
All I'm saying is that the ADUG takeover / strategy with regards to purchases, manager, players etc.. was not thought out and Robbies purchase typified that.

This is the type of opinion that truly and utterly defines a losing mentality.

Give a manager like Sven a palyer like Robinho and we'd be on our way to becoming fucking world beaters. Give him to Hughes and he's a problem/obstacle.

I'm sorry, But Robinho is far more than a statement. He's the future. And for once, at last! At long fucking last, lets know that that is where we are going! Robinho, a mistake? No way! Mark Hughes is the mistake.
Agree absolutely
Robinho ,swp,Ireland et al. its not the same as a kinky situation when he was the only good player we had.Forget RSC etc we need two more midfielders and 2 defenders at least. The problem isnt scoring its letting them in!!

so if we removed robbie from the equation....we are firmly rooted in the bottom 3

now how many top players would we attract without the pull of robinho in the squad??

we'd just be another west ham or tottenham

I knew this wouyld get some heated responses.

its not a critiscm of "Arr Robbie' in any way.

The fact is, it is now plainly obvious are priorities were not to sign "superstars".

He's great, we'd be fucked without him, yes, yes, I agree.

We've done this all back to front, hence our position.

Keeper, Captain, Defence should have been dealt with first.

Its not the only thing he is, but he was one giant statement.
Before we "state' oursel;ves to te footballing worls, lets get some basics right first. Like how to defend.
His purchase was madness and fantastic.

for the last 2 seasons...it's been the defense that has outshone the other positions on the field (albeit because we were shite elsewhere)...we struggled to score, and its only been mom performances by our defensive line up that has stopped us being in deeper shit

our priority for the last 2 seasons has always been to find a decent playmaker/striker/match-winner...someone to turn a game...someone to take the game by the balls....someone to nick a last minute equaliser

How do you know how much influence Rob has? Just because he does interviews and airs his views doesnt mean he sits down with Hughes and the owners and says "Here's my five year plan for MCFC"
