Robinho talks about leaving to the rest of the team

Good riddance to the party boy, not a serious footballer and will never be part of a tier 1 side

Hughes has always wanted "rid" and will now get his wish. You can't have a dressing room with Bellers and party time Brazllian wastes of space like Robbie in it.

Lets face facts; he, (Robbie) is a footballing nomadic flirt - think about it, at the time, why did he sign for us, he didnt even know who we were. OK for us desparados pining for immediate gratification his signing was of dreams, but in the harsh light of day it was an empty gesture, the excitement of the moment got to everyone including our owners and was always destined to be a short term thing at best.

The only cool calculating mind during this "heady" period was Hughes', who admirably rode the storm, with a clear head and logical mind he played a cool hand indeed, waiting his time and proving his point to his stakeholders while at the same time gaining their trust and support, he is now in position to jettison the "star" UNWANTED acquisition without rubbing anyone's noses in it - the old addage: "give enough rope...." springs to mind.

Nice one to Mark - he's played a blinder, god rid of (nearly almost) the wasters and ggod luck to him in rebuilding our club

Let's stick it to the scousers on Saturday eh?

If it was funny, I would laugh. It it was sad, I might shed a tear.

As it is, I will treat it with the disdain it deserves.

Pathetic.

Leave him alone. He's living proof that Hughes/Cook propaganda machine is deadly efficient even if our performances are below par!

I was dead against getting rid of our leading goal scorer and truly world class player but now I think he should go, I mean if Barca want him he can't be that good can he? Not like Barca are a big club or anything is it?

Also we don't need Robinho now, we have Tevez and he used to play for united and that means he's perfect and amazing like Andy Cole was and Terry Cooke.

We should buy that Greek lad who provided the through ball yesterday to beat Ukraine he tracked back and everything perfect for a forward and better than Robinho.

Some of the players may want to leave, but selling any of our players, won't be a knee jerk reaction by the club to anything "we the fans say or do" they will have decided ages ago if Robinho or anyone else is to leave. Once these sort of stories start to appear in the media I usually think "that's it there off" sooner rather than later.
Sometimes I think the chairman has a list of all my favourite players and is slowly getting rid of them. (sighs!!)

The one thing I feared with our new found wealth was that the long tradition of City losing their best players would come to an end.

I'm delighted this isn't the case and I look forward to losing more stars in the future.

I also dream we'll be managed by Neil Warnock one day and play using jumpers for goal posts fielding an all Mancunian team with matching haircuts and nothing at all worth complaining about.

I take it you missed the thread where a couple of people (maybe more) were sticking up for FLETCHER and reckon he would do a better job in our midfield than our current players. I am actually NOT a 'Hughes Out' man but can see both negatives and positives in his performance as our Manager. I think that the next five games will help me to come down off the fence so that should be an interesting one for me, if I can just remove those splinters...;o)

i just hope that Robbie makes the bench on Saturday, comes on for a 20 minute cameo, leaves a trail of dippers in his wake whilst banging in the winner and then runs over and kisses the badge in front of us.

this place would go into meltdown....

Media BS at its best. I'm sure he would love to play for Barca, as would anyone! However he will play for city and play his best. We need to give our players all of our support until the end or how else do you expect to keep them?

Hear Hear!

(Although, I'm sure the muppets would still find something to moan about....)
