Robinho to Besiktas 99% done

Really hope this happens. He doesnt want to be here just another disruptive player on stupid money causing bad press for the club.

If we get £18 - £20 million back for him I will be looking at this as exceptionally good business.

Robinho, RSC probably the last 2 big name players to be leaving. We are building a squad that will hopefully need minimal additions for the next 5 years these are the sort of players that have no part in our future.

having been based out in Turkey for three and a half years and attended matches at FB & GS, lived very close to Beşiktaş stadium - I was in Ulus, and know a pretty good deal more than most - I'd be amazed if Robinho went out there.

still, not a bad deal for us if he goes anywhere if Manciti feels he's surplus to requirements.

sort of reminds me of the Samuel Johnson quote

'when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life'

- and I cannot understand why he'd leave City and the EPL to go and play for BJK in the Turkish league.

anyway, let's see if it happens....

Would someone please look at the dates?

I'd prefer him to stay but if he wants to go then i'd lol at a so called superstar being so highly rated that he ends up playing in Turkey, no disrespect meant but come on..........
Turkish football. Club and National is of a high standard. Probably better than some of the Western European Leagues.

Every week some of the top Italian, French and Spanish players are being linked with moves to their top clubs.

Who manages Turkey? Hiddink
Where is Elano? Turkey
Where did Anelka go? Turkey

last week I read that Niang of Marseille, one of the top players in Le Championnat is moving to Fenerbahce

If one of their leading clubs: Gala, Fenerbahce or Besiktas was to play City over 2 legs I would not be confident of beating them.

The world changes. Your living in the 1970s. Not a bad decade as far as City were concerned, but not as good as this one's going to be

-- Thu Aug 19, 2010 5:26 pm --

Would be a good financial deal. In fact I think it could be regarded as a profit as transfer fees are written off over the length of a player's contract, but I would love to see Robinho play for City again. Given the players we have, and his experience I think he'd do better 2nd time around. There's not so much pressure on him to perform, and there are so many other good players in the squad. It would be suicide to double up on him.

Robinho is not half the problem for the coaching staff that the media make him out to be. he's just a very hugh profile player who attracts all kinds of stories because of his international profile. We need to get used to handling these players, and grow a thicker skin.

Disclaimer:

I am not ITK, this is not my info, but given that Besiktas already offered 20m Euros, it sounds like they might have increased this offer and we accepted?

more nonsense from avoid confusion

Robi staying then Bombo?

Fantastic deal. If we get £16,000,000 and get his £160,000 a week wages out of the way then we have gotten a bargain.

out going's and their weekly wages:

Onouha - £30,000
Ireland - £65,000
Sylvinho - £20,000
Benjani - £25,000
Garrido - £20,000
Bojinov - £15,000
Petrov - £40,000
Wiess - £10,000
Robinho - £160,000
Caciedo - £20,000

Not a bad saving really since none of these player's were going to start for us. What is it like, £420,000 a week we are saving on wages.

We would also have regained £2.5million from Garrido, £4.5million from Bojinov, £16million from Robbie.

Just guessing figures mind.
