He looked interested at the end talking to Given and the players before the shoot out! And a lot more interested after it!
I said a lot of things during the heat of that game about some players but I look back now and just think, fuck it. We're through. My mentality has changed yet again. I'm not going to moan about the performance, there's no point. Hughes will have words with the players no doubt.
I struggle to understand why so many of you wanted him to change it. Who do you bring on at 2-0? Etuhu? Gelson? Elano for Ireland maybe? Nobody on that bench would of made much of a difference. The performance, in relation to our recent away ones, wasn't too bad up until the last 10 minutes where obviously players switched off. It was a decent 'defensive' performance where we didn't let them have much chances.
But the thing is, they'll learn from this tonight, hopefully. Robinho will soon find form away from home, I don't understand why there's so much negativity towards the manager and some players after we went through. Of course the performance needs addressing, but the win makes it easier for Hughes to do that. We'll see how good a manager Hughes is on Sunday, and we see how these players react to that game.
Robinho wasn't the only underachiever tonight. He wasn't as bad as recent games. Ireland was poor. Evans was handy in the first half, faded in the second. Caicedo was given a huge task when he came on, didn't do much. Elano gave the ball away. If Robinho leaves our team for away games, we're not suddenly gonna start winning. There's other reasons why we don't win away. SWP doesn't perform away from home either. Ireland fails to reach his full potential as well.

Very dissapointed in his away form ,at home he is a different player although not of late .
However can anyone rule out he scores the winner in the UEFA cup final he is just that sort of player .

I bet they wouldn't after that 'performance' at the Bridge on sunday though. As I said I don't hate the guy and will not get on his back at games, I just feel he is taking the piss with his frewuent trips home, not learning english and lack of effort. I wish him no harm just don't think he's the player for us right now.

Sorry mate, but I disagree, he worked as hard as anyone else, he had to pass back, sideways because of options available and yes he fucked up, like others, but did create our best opportunity.
I dont know about this not caring for City mularky, but I think you may be right about one or the other going.

Whatever it is he is beginning to look like the weakest link. I know that he is capable of 'changing a game instantly with a flash of brilliance' but it's a long time since he did that.
He's still got that police investigation hanging over his head and until his name is completely cleared it is bound to be affecting his overall health and wellbeing and therefore his performances will obviously suffer.

Reading some of the posts on here it seems some of you want robinho to run around doing what Zabaleta does, why?
He's clearly playing with no confidence, is playing out of position, and isn't sure where he fits in to the side at the moment. To say he's not arsed though is a bit tough on him I think.
If you want players like Robinho to go round tackling everything that moves, forget it cos it won't happen. Buy a defender instead.

good point . its his first season in the prem a spell sat on the bench for a few away games may help him.
hes a class act when hes in the mood its up to mh to make sure he is or drop him.
i dont like that hes aloud to go off to brazil every time we dont have a game for a week or to get treatment on an injury surely we have docs here that could treat him as well.

i wouldnt be arsed to see the back of him in the summer and elano. He is defo a luxury player and im afraid at the minute its not time for carrying players! On his day can be a class player and like someone has said i will not get on his back.
