Yes, he missed his penalty, but please leave him alone. He worked his bollocks off today, he is desperate to do well and is clearly trying too hard at times.

He needs supporting, not ridiculing. So those looking for a whinge, dont pick on the easy target. He played well today.

First post here and i was going to start a topic about the same thing.

He missed his penalty (which was shit) but you could see he was trying, chasing players down etc.

You can see he has very little confidence as the Robinho at the beginning of this season would of buried a good few of his chances today, especially his late chase and the penalty!

Yeah the one chance he had at the end - he would have placed that smoothly in the corner 3 months ago. Whereas now he is just trying to hit and hope. His confidence is shot.

Agreed. Hes probably the best ever player to pull on a city shirt, talent wise, yet we still moan we have players like robby. Hes a world class player as the early season proved he is and hes only going to get better as time goes along. Top game today seen as we have got some players un-fit and injured. We can make 7th.

He's definitely got a confidence issue or something. But he worked hard at it despite the penalty. He was probably the wrong person to take it but then again it would have given him some confidence back when on goal, if he had scored.

Whoevers decision it was to let him take it wants a bollocking, but only because Elano is THE penalty taker, and shouldn't have been removed from his position. As for the miss itself, these things happen, you could see he tried in the game, things just didnt work for him.
