what great history do we have?you tell me?and what kind of herritage do we have?

So, City have no history, and no heritage you reckon....?

FFS, how long have you been (supposedly) a Blue? It's bad enough when fans of other clubs throw such accusations our way, without someone again, supposedly a fellow Blue.....either you are ignorant in which case you need to learn of our clubs past before making silly statements like that, or you want to go back to Rag Cafe.....

And now we're using the word massive, keep digging pal.

Now run along, mummy is shouting you, it's fish fingers and beans tonight.

Homework 1.1 - learn to read, it will help swotting up on our history.

Win.

You need to go and support someone else.

A City fan who can't even be arsed to check his own club's proud history.

The first Manchester club to win the FA Cup - 1904 by the way - Billy Meredith - by the way.

The greatest English goalkeeper ever Frank Swift

Max Woosnam

Peter Docherty

Matt Busby

Bert Trautmann

Colin Bell

Largest ever crowd outside of Wembley and Hampden Park

The last team to win league championship with all British players.

First team to hold all the major English trophies in 12 months.

32,000 average crowd in old Third Division.

Richest club in the world - richer than Chelsea.

Fourth best supported in country.

Top 20 clubs in world football in terms of finance-before The Sheikh.

I could go on, but I'm only 35 and, as you say, we've got no history or heritage.

Now fook off

you tell me what is so good about all that that makes you jump up and down with delight.i still cant see how that makes us a historic football club mate.the attendences in division were big and that was fantastic but fantastc for a division 2 side.

Well it makes the majority of City fans feel proud - it's history, you see.

Oh, and 32,000 wasn't fantastic for a Div 2 side, it was better than most Premier League sides at the time.

How the hell did you become a City fan, or what was it that first attracted you to the richest football club in the world?

If this is a glimpse of the future, you can keep it.

We replaced Fenerbahce in the recent football rich list at 20th, are they a massive world wide brand?
I'd rate clubs by their ambition, by that yard stick we're up there at the top!

And what would a bloke in Brazil know about all that, in England we're a massive part of the country's football history but around the world (which is what counts for the sake of this discussion) we're hardly known to your everyday pedro on the streets of Rio!

Another one who doesn't read.

My ire is directed at a so-called City fan who says we have no history or heritage.

think you will find mr pele is pulling robinio,s strings? myself personally i would fetch him back, part ex him for someone who would love to play for the club, or stick him in the reserves untill he realises that city backed him with big cash, as for being a small club we are only a small club because we live next to trafford, if we were a hundered miles from them we would be a so called big club, but would anyone call newcastle a big club, i certainly would, when they are in the prem they average the same gates as city?

somebody needs to tell me what makes a big club is it history and herritage or success? or is it both?

I don't think he knows what the word heritage means, Robinho never mentioned that anyway, what he said was with respect to our profile abroad in the here and now, not who had the largest crowd in 1932!

1934!

If we're talking about our profile in the here and now, jesus, we've never been bigger or more widely acknowledged.

or you could answer me why you feel the need to put your own football club and its fans down.

very poor if you ask me just because you don't like somebody's opinion or you feel we don't have enough history ffs.

Yep absolutely true, but we're still playing catch up to the dippers and the scum with what they've done since the 80's. I'm OK admitting that and hope to watch them fade away as we write ourselves into the lives of the new generations.
It's just stupid to pretend we're as well known now though!
As for the comments of Robinho, he's further down the world players list than our club will ever be!

Part-exchange him for someone else. Robinho as a Manchester City player is dead to me. His career is finished here.

Your beans have now gone cold, it's straight to bed for you.

Enjoy your wank over that Gary Neville duvet set.

Gary James, if you read this thread, take a deep breath...

lol im not slagging us off,i care for the club but just alot of fans annoy me because they cant accept the truth at times.robinho is still a cock dont get me wrong

Interestingly City are now in the midst of their best ever average attendances.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have gone a few years without a trophy and many more the League for Liverpool.

I wonder at what point, under the unwritten big club measure Liverpool and Arsenal are just like City?

Its not apparently attendances as Anfield holds just over 45k (less than COMS) they will be 'smaller' than City until they move.

But Arsenal have a swanky new stadium so they must be bigger than City and LIverpool?

But hang on Liverpool are bigger than both if measured by European Cups, bigger than any English club.

But oops they havent won the league for many years so that means Arsenal are bigger?

And hang on Chelsea have only won the title 3 times so that means bigger clubs are Aston Villa, Everton, Sheffiled Wednesday, Sunderland and Newcastle and the same sized clubs are Leeds, Blackburn, Wolves and Huddersfield.

Ooh eck this is getting complicated now.

So why dont all of those people who say City either a) has no history b) arent a big club please go away and read a football history book
