Who was that against? I was there and seem to remember he was stood near the half way line facing the Maine stand about 5 yards from the touchline. He did the roll back and forth thing twice and flicked it onto......crap I can't remember.....for....memory has gone......to score.
Fill the gaps lads.

Ipswich

indeed it was ipswich in a replay game. first game was called off due to a water logged pitch

would like to ask if anyone has footage of his goal against Swindon too. My first ever game. And I have memories of it. #Would love to see it again.

That was my first game aswell?

North stand that day. Just remember seeing him run down the wing right at me. I was first row too so was practically on level with the pitch. And also had the b#####d bell ringing next to me all game. RIP

Carl Griffiths scored the goal.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure the game was replay of an abandoned night game when we were two nil up one or both goals from Vonky?

The ref had to call it off due to waterlogged pitch, we were really desperate for the points at the time. I

You're correct with Griffiths scoring the goal, but the game was a standard saturday afternoon 3pm kick-off.

Tragedy is an over used word theses days but what happened to Rocky really was.
He was a smashing lad too. I think he may have been unwell for quite a while, if you remember he never seemed to be able to finish whole games.
I think he drifted off and ended up playing in Malaysia.
I used to see him a lot in a nightclub I used to go to in London (Gullivers), never giving it the biggun, just there quietly with his girl.
I remember being jealous of his talent and coolness.
Just goes to show, be grateful for what you've got.
RIP Rocky

Yes the game was played on a Saturday but I thought that match was a replay of an abandoned night game due to a waterlogged pitch? The game was played on the Saturday as we had both been knocked out of the FA Cup?

I can remember going to the game thinking it would just be 'typical city' to lose the game when they had been 2-0 up in the previous match.

It was the game where Vonky scored and celebrated by sliding on his knees through a huge puddle.

I maybe wrong, can anybody clarify?

Yep I was there he slid towards the corner of the main and north stand for about 25 yards.

It was a normal saturday 3pm fixture.

I remember seeing the match on tv, sure it was motd and the commentator was drooling how he twisted and turned the players around him in the tight situation he was in at the time , i would love to see that again.
