No one has mentioned the fact that the majority of pictures here are of junkies, alcoholics and mentally ill pot heads but the second Richey and his arm appears it's all mock outrage.

It's rock n roll. Deal with it.

i ain't outraged, i'm saying what is the rock 'n' roll about a not very good picture, most of the other pics are iconic pictures in rock'n'roll, that picture in my opinion is not. deal with that

In my opinion it is. For many people of a certain generation it is iconic. Even now I know of a 15year old who sees it as iconic as well as a 43 year old. It's a great picture of a great man making a great statement.

If you don't like it then fair enough but for me it's a fantastic picture that is astonishing on several levels.

No problem agreeing to disagree mate.

For me the picture is incredible for various reasons. His eyes are haunting and look quite disturbing, then there's the fact he has 4 REAL scratched into his arm with a razor, not something you see everyday really, it's just a great picture in my opinion, of a young man with the self belief, we can argue whether it's stupid or not all day but self harm happens, it's nothing new, and it's no more stupid than shooting heroin when you get down to it.

There's a lot of people who talk the talk but don't walk the walk, Richey just proved he lives it, he doesn't just act like a rock star, he was born one.

Give me self harming genius over Chris Bland Martin anyday though.
