Perhaps Rodney should reflect on his disastrous contribution when he joined us for the last few games of the 71-2 season.

From a seemingly unassailable position he played a major part in cocking up our run in and ending the season in 4th. It was a disaster to replace the hard working Ian Mellor and Tony Towers who had both contributed to take us clear at the top of Division 1, with this prima donna.

To be fair, Big Mal should take nearly all the blame for buying him at that time.

And it wasn't only Towers and Mellor that Allison left out to accommodate Marsh; unbelievably, Alan Oakes was dropped for one game so that Rodney could play.

What a disaster!
