Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

When Giannis Antetokounmpo fell to the floor in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals after his knee twisted in a gruesome fashion, he said his immediate thought was that not only was this season over -- but that next season was, too.

"I thought I would be out for a year," Antetokounmpo said.

Instead, Antetokounmpo was out for only a week, and was able to return for Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns.
Antetokounmpo said that until his MRI last Wednesday, he was convinced he'd face an extended absence.

"I couldn't walk, and my knee was like double the size," Antetokounmpo said. "Usually I never swell up. But you know, I woke up the next day, did whatever it's called, MRI or X-ray -- I don't know what it's called -- and they said I'm good. And I was like, 'Thank God.'

Didn't look intentional from Partey... looks more unfortunate as a clash of shoulders knocked Rodri on to an unsupported right leg...stressing the right knee. 2 months should do for that. Get well soon Rodri.
Obviously there was no intent to cause injury, but he did barge into Rodri and this is just another example of the shitshow that corners have become in professional football.

If some cunts not got their arms wrapped around you, or dragging you to the floor, or they are blocking you, be it an attacker or defender, then injuries can happen.

It's the biggest stain on the game presently, and needs sorting out.
