Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

Yeah I called it out in the Arsenal thread a couple of weeks back that no Bluemoon members were celebrating when we lost Odegaard and were showing sympathy. That was classy. To be honest usually we are classier than that as a fanbase but I think the match yesterday has created a tinderbox atmosphere. We've now got Gabriel on twitter doing a Brazilian TV interview saying Arsenal will be 'waiting at our house' for City in february with the intimation that violence will happen. It's bloody Dipper-level stuff now. Reminds me a bit of the Arsenal-Rags matches back in the day and the bad smell around those games.
Like Klopp, your manager is mostly at fault for this.

His behaviour is consistently appalling.

This idea of signing back ups for key players is not realistic. If any player is content to sit as a back up to a Rodri or Haaland, then truth is they are either not good enough or just here for the money. The right way to go, which we have largely done, is sign quality players and then let a great coach adapt systems around them. If Rodri’s season is over it is a blow obviously, but I’m not sure having a second string DM sitting there would lessen the blow. If you look at the squad, I can see Pep going very positive whilst (if) Rodri is out.
Arteta has Partey, Rice and Jorginho. Liverpool has Endo as a back-up. At least they have someone. Our midfield is crap without Rodri, but it’s up to the club who did nothing.

But couldn't play them until January as we've already submitted our PL squad
Free agents can be signed at any time, but can only be registered if there's space in the squad list. So if you've already got 25 players registered, sorry, those free agents will have to wait until the next registration window. Yes, that's January

think we have the space, not that there's anyone decent out there.

Pep will change tactics now. It’ll be interesting to see what he comes up with.
Formation wise surely. I thinking a tandem to replace Rodri rather than stick Kova or Gundo there who both can do partially what Rodders can but not as well and as much. Gundo wouldnt be able to run as much out of possession break up attacks at age 34 every 3 days. but might help attacks, setting tempo etc.

imo this will make Foden to go out wide again, as Gundo or Kova will need extra man in there to help them.

This is what the cheering Gooners and buzzing Rags don't get.

We have a beautiful habit of facing down adversity and finding a way. It's what we've done for years. Time to circle the wagons and "do it for Rodders" is now the mantra. This shit just galvanises the club, its players, staff and supporters

Our direct competitors (and the poxy rags) need to be careful what they wish for...because we ain't going nowhere.

If we achieve 5 in a row without the big man, we'll do fucking 10.

Up the fucking Blues.
Might even make Pep sign an extension too if it gets his grey matter working in overdrive.

Think we'll just see a return to the 3-2-4-1 formation tbh. Stones and Lewis will become DMs.
