Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

Look at the risk of getting flamed I don't think Pep will have been happy to see Haaland stoke the fires in that way and provide extra motivation. Clearly personal rivalries are developing on the pitch (even if the managers share great mutual respect and friendship) and so I think it's safe to say matches between the 2 will from now on need to be watched from behind the sofa. Haaland seemed out of control at times and whilst no doubt City fans will love to see that, it does indicate him getting wound up and it's one thing doing that at his home stadium but he's now created a viper-pit atmosphere for the game at the Emirates. City are more than capable of handling that but why make it even tougher than it would otherwise be? It's like creating an extra trip to Anfield from a City perspective.

Likewise Arsenal's shithousery guarantees City away will from now on be even harder than it was before as the fans will be even more up for it than they were before. I'm thinking City-Madrid of a couple of years ago levels of crowd atmosphere which makes it almost mission impossible.
Tbh mate, you seem a reasonable poster so I will try to make this concise…

We don’t care about this made up fake bullshit because we haven’t in the past taken much notice of you. I hate the dips but at this point and if Rodri is out I would rather they win the league.

Going to klanfield vs going to emirates is night and day.

yesterday the city players were fed up with your cheating antics and give a bit back.

Embarrassing club.

The reason City haven't said anything yet is apparently because he's still having tests in the next few hours to confirm, but they expect it is an ACL

I'm sure they'll announce it as soon as they have final confirmation... probably later tonight
Where's there's hope Chad.

I’m gutted for Rodri and the team. But assuming that it’s happened, I’m curious to see how Pep figures it out. And expectations for the season are so low, I’m also excited to see the boys rise to the occasion for Rodri. It’s like the slate has been wiped clean and we start again and show them who we are.

Pep won’t give two shites mate tbh , proper teams would have at least tried to attack even with ten men , it’s clear that we live in your fucking heads every day of the week , shutting up shop without one wide player on the pitch says more about captain black than anything else , he shat his pants leading a game winning 2-1 and only 5 games into the season. And I’d be more worried about your team’s discipline, its every fucking week your manager is bleating about decisions, you’re such an emotional embarrassment of a fanbase and it gets played out every single season in the league cups and European competitions, a bunch of shithouses supported by shithouses , concentrate on spurs for rivalry , at least you can play a big fish in a small pond in doing so.
4 in a row sunshine.
Brentford, last week played better than Arse, weren't afraid to come and play. They are more mentality monsters than Artetas time wasting shite house thugs.

Really sad news for Rodri, recovery well and rest up whilst you can.
Bad news for us, he is an immensely important player for us.
We are in for a difficult few months with so many players now being out.
Time for us fans to buckle up and get behind the team.
Time for you to earn your wage Pep, again!

The other thing I'll say is this was a non-contact injury thats likely in part due to excess strain on the body. Rodri has played a lot of football over the last 3 years (and particularly last season/this summer) and plenty of other players are in the same boat. I know he'd had a rest but putting so much mileage on the body means these injuries often happen as a result of cumulative strain. For sure there's too much football being played and I reckon we'll see a lot of players in top leagues getting these kinds of injuries with the amount of football they have to play.

I think we have earned the right over the last few years to not worry about what we can or can’t win without Rodri.

The club and players have nothing to prove.

Free hit now, any silverware this season will be fantastic.

If it’s not to be then it’s not to be. As I say, we have won it all and are due a down season at some point. This isn’t throwing in the towel but im not getting worked up about it if Rodri is out.
