Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

Kowing our predicament, I'd be be surprised if they don't deploy Guimaraes, Tonali, and Joelinton in midfield against us. Irrespective of who we play in there, that combination will be both aggressive and powerful.
Perhaps we'll have to take a leaf from the old varpool playbook and by pass the midfield. We'll just have to get Eddie hoof the ball up for the big man to run onto.

If you remember Mandy’s ACL VS Liverpool he played on a bit and walked off. He was out for a year and never really got over it before the obvious happened to him.

Time for Nunes to step up big time and show the fans why we signed him. Could be a huge season for him now.
He's playing from a pretty deep position here. If Pep can coach him up and let him learn from his mistakes, his athleticism can bring something really different to our midfield, which I believe we are missing currently.

Don’t know if this has been commented on elsewhere but the slow-mo footage from behind the goal shows clearly Party raise his hands and push Rodri sideways as they both move towards the corner flag.

This was not a coming together or an unfortunate landing. It was a piece of shithousery. Party almost certainly didn't intend a season-threatening injury, but he took the risk with Rodri's knee.

Apart from anything else it should have been a penalty.

More seriously, it is difficult to argue that Rodri was not deliberately targeted. That much was suggested by the evidence of the first three seconds.

Arsenal really are a bunch of cunts.

Have you got that footage? The replay I saw, I don’t think Partey could be given much blame.

All this talk of Arsenal they will come third. It’s us vs Liverpool for the title. Dippers are dangerous and Salah is back to his best. Media keeps pushing Arsenal and us but Dippers are right there.
I said this earlier, they do have best set of forwards to choose from this season. Not THE best but have a good selection.

we played 6 defenders that day and were unbalanced, was stones playing rodris role or was it Rico or Akanji? As it was hard to tell.

and we lost 0-1, we were poor but it wasn't a disaster
Somehow we only lost 1-0 but apart from an early Haaland chance we did nothing. Sure Villa had a big possession difference too.
Think Akanji was also stepping into Midfeikd which doesn’t work well
