Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

Don't mind him returning early so long as it's managed and with the aim of building up his match fitness before pre season. No way should he be thrown back into his old workload this season. Shouldn't be starting any Cup Finals either. I'd rather not win anything and have a fit Rodri for next year than lose him again.
He won't be starting games till he's 100% that's for sure. If that's a cup final then so be it. He could easily have a set back pushing himself to hard in training. We need to trust rodri and the medical staff.

If he's ready he's ready I just wouldn't want us to cut any corners solely because 'it's a cup final' if you get where I'm coming from.

If we can hold onto top 4 and manage to win the cup, I'd say we can call this a good season. Would also calm my bitterness from handing the cup to the arrogant neighbors last season.

The pain is in Nobody has made them fight for the right to be champions ? a piss poor team that in any other season under Pep would not happen,

You referring to Liverpool in the league? If you are, I certainly agree. Yes, they deserve to win the league, but they aren't at our level from any of the 4 straight we've won or Klopp's best teams or even Arsenal last season or the season before.

Yep Liverpool
this season has been a wake-up call to Manchester City that if we stand still even for one transfer window the shit can hit the fans, Injuries happen to all teams and that can be taken into account, But in City's case Rodri and Bobb being long term was not the major problem Its was the burnout and the ageing squad that damaged our season,

Pep and City have never been in this situation before and the 4 hard years of winning titles and cups and european football plus international football our players hit a brick wall, The damage could have been a lot worse and we could have been midtable and out of the top 4 race, But City sorted it out in the winter transfer window and made it stable again.

Rodri's injury was a blow, but not the major blow the media like to think it was, Burnout and an ageing squad that hit the wall were the major problem, KDB Silva Walker Stones Ake Akanji Grealish have got nothing left to offer this season, I would say that questions will be asked on 4 or 5 of them in the summer, the truth will be leave now and you leave with A BIG THANK YOU and a legacy, But stay on and sit on the bench does nobody any good.

you have to give Liverpool credit this season. they are on for 90 points or so which is at least as good as we were last year.

True but they haven't had to face a strong City, or Arsenal that might take points off them, or put pressure on them. They have been very efficient without looking like a side that will go down in PL history as a special side

You can only beat what’s put in front of you, and they have!

With them losing only 1 PL game this season so far, being in the Carabao Cup Final, and still in the CL, Slot’s team selection against Plymouth might be his biggest mistake of the season so far!

Ruthless efficiency has been their MO, and it’s paid off so far. The PL is done, one can only hope NUFC show up as well as their fans will at Wembley, and that their route to the CL is too difficult, although…!!!

swings and roundabouts. arsenal are about the same and you could argue the premier league middle class is much improved this season as we’ve discovered.

Do you think they give a fuck??
They are winning the league Marvin. I didnt care a jot the last 4 years ifnthe competition was strong or not. The best teams always prevails be it by 1 point, be it by 20 or be it by goal difference. Personally if not us this year and no other team near I would walk the trophy yo Klanfield to stop those Tarquin cunts managed by lego head getting anywhere near it!!
Fair play to Liverpool. They have laid down the gauntlet for us to get it back.

Good post bar the last sentence,I don’t think the medical staff have covered themselves in glory this season ..
Would be ideal to be a fly on the wall in the medical room lol!
To see who is responsible Pg or them .
He had problems with the Bayern medical staff with injurys & getting them fit to be back on the pitch quicker .

No. But it's relevant to what happens next.

I think the hope is he will be fit for the CWC. Our owners will see this as the priority competition because of the international prestige and exposure as the winners of the first competition.
Yeah, the moolah for competing in it also helps that we exited the champions league earlier than usual
