Rodri solution

Just like how the ball always seems to break to great goalscorers in the box, Rodri has a sixth sense where to be out of possession. Can’t be coached. Gundo probably nearest in terms of reading the game and positional sense.

One thing for sure, thank fuck Gundo made that call to Pep.

Strap a 4x2 to his leg and play him, lets he honest he will be still better than the alternatives.

Keep Phillips where he is thanks. He'd do more harm than good back at us. Was never good enough and is gone as a player now.

Kova Gundo Rico and Stones will share the load. Should be ok in most games but against the top 6 sides I think we'll struggle.
Can Nunes play in that role at all? Keep seeing his name being mentioned but I've never seen anything to suggest that he could.

One of Phil's best games for England was as a deep lying playmaker.
I remember it, set up Grealish for a lovely goal.
Different playing it in the PL than against a European minnow.
I don't think he has the size or the patience to play it for us at the minute. Tries to rush the pass to often instead of taking the sting out of the game.

- Stones/Akanji step up from CB
- Rico plays roaming RB

- Kova/Gundo play the Rodri.

Its pretty simple, barring a formation change and keeping the box mid.
