Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

May your smile (may your smile)
Shine on (shine on)
Don't be scared (don't be scared)
Your destiny may keep you warm
'Cause all of the stars are fading away
Just try not to worry, you'll see them someday
Take what you need, and be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

Manchester City won the treble Haaland broke all the records and fucking Messi won.
But you know what we all turned up and Haaland knew he lost but still took it like a man and smiled.

Mard arses, Real Madrid thinks the football world should respect them and their players and give them the award because they think its right

May your smile (may your smile)
Shine on (shine on)
Don't be scared (don't be scared)
Your destiny may keep you warm
'Cause all of the stars are fading away
Just try not to worry, you'll see them someday
Take what you need, and be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

City need to pick an oasis song to play as a permanent pre-match song at the Etihad.

From the BBC...
  1. 'Haaland is free to do what he wants' published at 13:04 GMT

Tottenham v Man City (Wed, 20:15 GMT)
    Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on Erling Haaland going to Sweden to see a boyhood friend win the league title with Malmo:
"He and his girlfriend Isabelle will be parents soon, we only get a couple of days off.
"He went [to the awards ceremony] last season. Sometimes you go, sometimes you don't. He's free to do what he wants. He doesn't have to explain the reason why. It's not a problem at all. He will be really happy for Rodri, I have no doubt of that."
  2. 'If Vinicius won the Ballon d'Or, it would have been more than deserved' published at 12:58 GMT

Tottenham v Man City (Wed, 20:15 GMT)
    Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on Vinicius Jr not winning the Ballon d'Or
: "Of course, if [Vinicius] won, it would have been more than deserved.
"It was the same with Erling [Haaland] last year when he didn't win. He was there and congratulated Leo [Messi], then you have to go and try again next season. It's really open and there will be more chances to win.
"I congratulate Carlo Ancelotti for winning the best manager in the world, but it was [Gian Piero] Gasperini or Luis de la Fuente. Of course they deserved it, but people voted and Carlo also deserved it.
"This event has to be a joy, people have to accept the results. As a club, we are so happy that Rodri is the first player in this club to win this award. It's like [winning] the Premier League and Champions League. We are so proud."
I think Pep misunderstood this question.

For once it wasn’t a dig about Erling not going to the awards but asking positively what he thought about going to watch his friends in The Swedish league.

That’s how I interpreted it.

Watching this **** repeating the word pussy to the ref on Saturday after getting booked in their thrashing by Barcelona made me want to put my foot through the tv screen.
An entitled shithead of a player/person
He would never have got a red card because if he did, he would have played a certain card to defend himself.

Let's look at it this way. If luck went our way last season against Madrid, they would have been annihilated again and they would not be celebrating a Champions League win and cry baby Vini and the selfish twat Bellingham would not have been in with a shout of winning the Ballon door. They were very lucky against us, very lucky against Bayern and lucky against Dortmund. So that magical season would have looked very different indeed. But did they ever acknowledge they rode their luck even once? No, they just let their overhyped, overinflated egos build up their overrated team. Now they've got the ninja turtle Mbappe on board, we are now beginning to see how divisive and destructive having a team of massive egos can be. They are on the point of imploding and it could be very messy indeed.

All these world beaters they have in their team and they resorted to parking the bus to drag City to penalties as they knew that was the only way to progress. They couldn’t play their normal game as they knew they would have been destroyed, if KDB hits his shot a little bit lower City go through. That’s the fine margins of how their season could have been different.

Real Madrid are very much scared and paranoid of City, which leaves them to the point of crying foul of turning up to an award ceremony. What a time to be alive.

Don't think he misunderstood. Think he knew exactly what he was doing, our Pep.
