Its called style grandpa, i dont understand it either and would have gone for something comfy from m&s but thats apparently what it is.

Looks like he is going fishing more like. You can get a lot of fly boxes in those pockets and a nice rain hood to keep him warm. Plus camouflage arms hide where he is casting.
