What hurts him is that we wasn't crowned the best in the PL. I know people love Foden but Rodri was the best player last season likewise City player of the season was voted Foden and Madrid and other use this against him. Not that it matters to many but just show how crazy people get.

Also this campaign for Vini is crazy. He had two months of top performance last season literally Bellongham was outshining him and get shouts for BdO till around Feb before Vini started getting shouts. The fact he only started 32 games due to injuries means he wasn't playing all season which is what this award is for.
 
What's funny is the Spanish rags think Vini didn't win because of "politics".

The thing is after him boycotting this year, he will probably never win because it will become "political" now. France magazine and the French in general aren't the most forgiving/forgetting.

Either way this reaction by them and the people who wanted Vini to win is so pathetic and soft. They're acting like he had a prime Messi/Ronaldo year.

I will say after this, that Spanish cult club will be more satanic than ever in champions league.

Kevin was voted last year but he was injured and then didn't want it after recovery.

Either way Rodri (and Dias) received votes as well otherwise they wouldn't be in the leadership group.

Kyle is experienced and well liked in the clubhouse. It's fine he's the captain. A lot of fans would probably prefer someone who better represents the club off the pitch.

This is absolutely fantastic for Rodri and so richly deserved, a fantastic ambassador for our club.
Equally, this is momentous for our club. A balon d’or winner from within will send shivers down the spines of the red cartel clubs.
We now not only win team awards, we take the highest individual accolade available and the kudos that goes with winning the balon d’or will send us into the stratosphere.
Who would have thought it.
So proud to be a blue and even more so today.
