I reckon City are bluffing, and we'll see one more signing by the end of the window.If Sam Lee is right about this it could be that we’re targetted both Bentancur and Pjanic to force Juve into giving one of them a new contract, similarly to how we wanted Ter Stegen or Bravo when they were both at Barca, and letting one of them leave.
Situation A: Pjanic gets a new long term deal on a higher wage which commits him to Juve for the next 5 years, reducing Bentancur’s playing time and he wants to leave.
Situation B: Bentancur gets the new contract with guarantees of more playing time under the assumption that there’s a path way to him getting a frequent first team role, ie Pjanic is leaving.
Situation C: Rags come in with a £200m offer for both and we don’t sign anyone.

One has 3 years left on his contract and the other 4 years. Not sure Juve has to renegotiate just yet
