Rodrygo is now ~60% likely to be a Manchester City player by September 3rd according to Bet365 current odds FWIW. They were right on the last few guys before it was overly public.

I put some down on Sesko to Newcastle after I seen the clubs agreed on a fee - figured no way he chose United over Newcastle but he did. They always had United as the favourite, which was not how the media was spinning it. Interesting.

Personally don't see the need for this lad.

Why would spend 100million on a player where we have Marmoush/Doku who can play LW ? There is a reason why no team went for him this summer

To be fair, I don't think it's right that nobody has gone for him. More that he's picky about where he wants to go.

It's not that he isn't good enough for Real, it's that they have Mbappe and Vini Jr as luxury players already.

Doku, Marmoush, Foden, Cherki, Bob, Haaland thats enough depth for the attack. Compare our attack to Liverpool or Arsenal for example. Liverpool have kids as back up and Arsenal have Madueke/Trossard. Spending 100 million on Rodrygo is pointless when we should be targeting the right back position

Rodrygo been in La Liga for 6 years now and his best return has been 17 G+A in La Liga, despite playing in a power house team. Savio played 1 season in La Liga and had 18 G+A playing for Girona as a kid. Think he was 19/20. Both these lads operate best off the left, where we have Doku and Marmoush. Marmoush is already a better Rodrygo. And Doku also has a much higher ceiling.

Savio is better, younger, cheaper and has a much higher ceiling than Rodrygo. This swap would really piss me off if I'm being honest.

As far as I can see it doesn't free one up, even if Echeverri and Ortega go we are still full.

Rodrygo is too slow to play as winger in PL. Clearly a good player, but overrated, not word class. If you can spend 100m, Yildiz is better.

Great technique and first touch. But he is slow, and he is slow for spanish football... And PL has much more pace than Liga...

Much better finisher than Savinho (accept that’s not saying a whole lot) but not convinced he’s the answer.

I’d rather we spent money on a right back and possibly another midfielder.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re done in terms of incomings.
