Savio did one year in la liga and got 9 goals and 10 assists better than Rodrygo has ever done in 6 years.
 
I'd like to see Marmoush get some of those up front minutes when Erling is dropping a stinker. He offers a completely different threat to the big man, keep defences on their toes. Just figured this thread has veered off course towrd Omar ;)

As for Rodrygo....not sure tbh. Theres a lot to be said for a lad coming into his second season, knows the lay of the land, knows the club, knows the league. Rodrygo would have to navigate all of that...no guarantees we get any more out of him than we would get out of Sav.

2 players that were leaving anyway and Rodrygo is undoubtedly an upgrade on Savinho
 
In the half dozen games I saw 2Mar play before the move to City he seemed to pop up mostly on the right, Maybe mistaken- maybe he was playing more as a 2nd striker floating right but seemed to naturally gravitate there.

You’d potentially play a front four with Marmoush playing where Alvarez/KDB often played just off Haaland with Rodrygo on the left and Foden/Cherki on the right. Cherki I’d imagine can also play that role as can Foden.

People forget we often press in a 442.

We ignoring his champions league record , Copa del rey record as well? I watched Savinho at Girona his goals and assists came against lower opposition. Rodrygo scores against the best 15 goals in all comps against Barca, goals and assists against Liverpool, Bayern, Atletico, us , Chelsea etc. There's the difference for a big game you want Rodrygo

His CL numbers are fantastic.
 
overrated and another LW when we just bought Marmoush and have Doku too. Gotta be sabotage from the inside.
