A good point but we should not judge a 20 year old who played one season with a Champions league club on his CL returns.

2 years back we ran Madrid off the pitch. Better team in essentially every facet of the two legs. Now we are targeting their outcast whom they don't want to pay. Not exactly inspiring from my perspective.

Alright I agree I really do but it seems too tricky to balance.

I still believe getting a really good RB and giving Savio x Doku one more season to prove themselves and only then if they haven’t buy a winger.

Adding a winger complicates things far too much. The squad still has players that haven’t left. Our defence is still shaky. Rodri isn’t fully fit yet. We haven’t used Haaland to the best of his abilities. A winger signing esp like Rodrygo seems like a cherry on top signing when all is done.

Would I be mad if he came ? Not really just confused… but best believe I’m not missing a single match

Trafford, Cherki, it Nouri, doubt they are on elite salary, 100K maybe 150K. Reijders maybe 200K?
also McAtee, Savinho could offset salaries a bit.

I'm not against signing him but I thought we were over our quota, so 1 NHG in & 1 out doesn't seem to make sense.

An inside forward on the left, yes I know Rodrygo CAN play wide RW but has made it clear at Real Madrid (his camp vocalized this) that he doesn't want to play there.

So if Savinho is sold, and Rodrygo potentially comes in, the only way this makes sense in my brain is that we play a wide winger wide fullback system where Nunes or Bobb hold the width on the right, and Savinho is redundant.

I could potentially see a double striker system consisting of any 2 of Haaland/Marmoush/Rodrygo, with RAN/Doku wide left and Bobb/Nunes wide right.

But this has a knock on effect on Reijnders/Cherki/Foden having to play a bit deeper to accommodate (which I'm okay with)

But I have left out Bernie/Gundogan/Kovacic because how do you fit them in if you need Reiinders/Foden/Cherki to play.

I appreciate how much thought you put in this and hopefully people see the light on how this transfer literally doesn’t make sense.

Which makes sense with how their players talk about us as a club. The guy on there said said as well that the game against City at the City’s ground the Etihad where Madrid were in his word Humiliated. Made an impact on a lot of Madrid players the atmosphere the chants even Vini was overcome by it.

Which he said you can see in Vini Jrs documentary where he says about the Kevin chants.
