So its not happening then.
Weird that all the credible sources say the same thing as him.
I believe the thinking is that - in Rodrygo - we'd have someone effective (and with a goalscoring threat) who can play on the right, left, or - if Haaland needs a rest or is injured - upfront.Rather we sold Savinho, kept Echeverri personally. Don’t understand this deal.
Oh yeah, follow up, as logic would dictate (and no need to be ITK for this) I think this will get done pretty much immediately after the Spurs game (both Savinho & Rodrygo).
Since Alonso's arrival at Real, Rodrygo's played 121 minutes of a possible 720. He was an unused substitute for their opener last night too, with Arda Güler & Franco Mastantuono being used from the bench ahead of him.Given the huge difference between their (expected) wages, I'm not sure we can't wait to pay Rodrygo more than Rodri and Foden.
I could have written that myself. Agree with everything you say.Since Alonso's arrival at Real, Rodrygo's played 121 minutes of a possible 720. He was an unused substitute for their opener last night too, with Arda Güler & Franco Mastantuono being used from the bench ahead of him.
There's too much transfer noise surrounding Savinho, Ederson, Rodrygo & Donnarumma for the speculations to be transfer tittle tattle, but outgoings will dictate what happens. Since Hugo's arrival, there seems to be a tougher stance with our valuation of players.
It seems City are happy to go into the season with both Savinho & Ederson, but if either or both wish to leave, it'll be on City's terms & we have our alternatives lined up just in case.
I suppose it's evidence of our growing esteem in world football that a player considered the best keeper in the world, & a Real Madrid star, both seemingly want a move to Manchester City above any other club.
I agree with the club, in that I'd be happy for both Savinho & Ederson to remain. But if they were to leave, both Rodrygo & Donnarumma would be good shouts as replacements, the latter especially.
The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the situation with James Trafford. I'm seriously impressed with his development, which will obviously be stunted if the 26 year old best keeper in the world arrives.
Some say competition for games between the sticks is a good thing, & that Trafford will just have to man up & step up. Others think James would develop further with the peace of mind of being our No 1 choice, plus the valuable experience he'll gain playing in major games in the process.
As for Rodrygo, he's the superior player when compared to Savinho at the present. However, Savinho is 3 years younger & has a higher ceiling imo. It also seems it's team Savinho driving the transfer to Spuds, so with that being the case, let's get the most we can, buy his replacement for the least we can & move on.

Everything? Every time?I agree with everything you say.
We've cut Walker, Grealish & De Bruyne off the wage bill, so - even with the players bought - should be able to sort it (especially as no-one was really playing for a big club).Given the huge difference between their (expected) wages, I'm not sure we can't wait to pay Rodrygo more than Rodri and Foden.
Always and forever.Everything? Every time?

Again, just MO.
But we have added Marmoush and Reijnders, both on wages higher than Rodri's. We want to make Rodri's wages 300+k a week. Maybe Foden's too. Then we have several potential world class players in Cherki, Bobb, Khusa, Savinho, Doku, Gonzalez, RAN, etc.
It's not a trivial issue. When Soriano is doing the calculations he may be wondering whether the whole operation of replacing Savinho with Rodrygo makes *enough* sense.
I've never seen Soriano mentioned except posters here guessing. The leak about Soriano blocking the exit of Savinho will not have been by accident
This place knows everything pal,Sorianos thoughts ,Peps thoughts, players confedential salaries, it's the font of all knowledgeI've never seen Soriano mentioned except posters here guessing.
Always. I've never known you to be wrong.Everything? Every time?
