They're robbing you.
Ciampino to Rome with the couch it's like 6 euro, sometimes 4 if you book it online, it depends on the agency. It may be quite difficult to arrange one at night though, you may want to check carefully the timetables.
Fiumicino, even though I suppose you're not landing on here, it's even easier, you can catch the train to Termini/Ostiense and then take the Metro or whatever you like. Even if you take a taxi is much cheaper than the organized transfer, the fare is fixed, 30 to and from Ciampino, 40 to and from FIumicino, you can share it and it's "nothing". Maximum 4 people or they will apply the taximeter. If they're charging extra for the luggage, you should refuse to pay. Anyway, ask for the price beforehand so you won't have surprises, if they ask for 60 just tell the taxi driver to fuck off. Bigger taxies are of course more expensive. Another thing you may need to know about taxies is that there's a demarcation line, which correspond to the Aurelian Walls, Mura Aureliane in Italian, if you're destination is inside you pay the prices I listed above, outside you pay 10 extra euro, so make sure you're inside if you want to pay less, they tried to cheat me a couple of time although I live pretty much in front of them. Every spot in the city centre is inside, except for the neighbourhoods of Prati (Castel sant'Angelo) and Borgo (Saint Peter).
Hopefully my insights will come in handy.
I agree with other users when they say a one-day trip to Rome is a crime against humanity
