Im going in April, can anyone reccomend places for decent priced food and wine and beer? I know it can be expensive, but have also heard that if you go to the right places you can get carafes of wine and decent food for cheap

This place was reccomended to us by the cabby and it was the best pizza and the cheapest place we found to eat. Very close to one of the big plazas as well.

If you're after watching the footy, there's also an Irish bar called Scholars which was pretty decent. We had the misfortune of watching the Southampton game in there. Good atmosphere though.

Is that just on the entrance to Piazza Navona? The icecream place on the opposite side of the passageway is nice, if so.
