Romelu Lukaku on his way to City ?

too much of an unknown quantity to punt 20m on, he will want a huge wage too as he seems to buy into his own hype. I would rather have chelsea pay all that money for a player who might turn out to be the next emile heskey rather than the next drogba
Sorry but by what evidence have you come to that conclusion? Drogba has met him and reckons he's the business. I'll also quote him:

"If I go to a top club, in the beginning I know I will be on the bench, sometimes playing 10 or 15 minutes. That will be it at the start. But my goal is that, in those 15 minutes, I will grab my chance and do better every time so that, by the end of the season when it gets really important, and there are a lot of games, I will be ready."

"I would like my future sorted out by 5 June because my exams start the following day," he said, "and I don't want any other distractions at that time."

He seems to have his head on straight to me. Considering that Mourinho was willing to pull out all the stops to secure his signature before he revealed that he was determined to go to the Premier League, there must be more than hype about him.

That said, 20m sounds inflated to me. I do not expect he'll go for that either.

Well, if he has his head screwed on right like you say then he will DEFINITELY want huge wages ;)

Sky`s website edited for accuracy:

As part of the Lukaku deal they look set to loan Boyata to Anderlecht.

Until the Tevez saga is resolved the striking situation will not move on.
With Boateng looking likely to stay at City loaning out Boyata would be ideal. First team football and no language problem.

Says he wants to score in a stadium with 50,000 people in it, ours is only 47,405. deals off people :)

I don't know whether we'll get him or not in honesty, we'd be interested in him as a replacement for Tevez leaving and we don't know if thats happening so I reckon we won't jump into signing him, meaning someone else (i.e. chelsea) will get their and grab him first. At least, thats what I assume will happen.

If Tevez leaves, and there's no sign he will, then we will need a proven goal scorer - not "one for the future".

If we've got him I can see him being our 4th choice striker behind Tevez, Dzeko & Balo with Nimely off on loan.

As he's still only 17 he'd also class as club trained and home grown for EUFA competitions when he gets to 21 (a big plus if he makes it).

"I feel Lukaku deal with Chelsea is done; left squad to remove risk. If Leekens did not pick him, there'd be headlines. This way, all happy."

This is a tweet 22.15 1/6/11 from John Chapman Belgian football, why dont you put the original source of your quotes?

Hello all... I have some bad news. I injured my 4th metatarsus, extra analysis has to be done, I will keep you informed. I am of course very very disappointed but I am sure we will win. Shout for us! I will do all I can to cure fast.

From his own twitter account. The reason he left the squad.
