All his quotes indicate he's coming to us, "Champions League", "Top 2/3 English Club", "50,000 Stadium". Along with our Belgian connection, I'd say he's pretty much nailed on.

we don't have a 50,000 stadium

wheather he was talking about us or not would you expect him to actully quote the true figure off a grounds capacity?

"i want to play in a staduium that has 47,726" :)

1. Utd 75797
2. Chelsea 42449
3. City 47405

I'd say he was referring to us.
good point

I would love to have him here...he is a player who would only get better and we could get like 10+ years from him.

He has all the attributes to succeed in the premier league and could play as a lone striker too.

However...it seems like our transfer dealings are stalling and Lukakus transfer is supposed to be done before next monday already.

So i think he is going to Chelsea...however, i would be very happy if he came to City.

Not claiming to be ITK at all, but Lukaku has been doing a long, slow dance with Chelsea for a while now from all appearances.

if it was us I think I'd buy him and loan him back to Anderlecht for another season.

and just because he wants his future decided in the next week doesn't mean it'll be announced in the next week!

the Sky article makes it sound like Chelsea, though:

Chelsea look to be very much in the driving seat as they are also involved in talks over Gent star Kevin de Bruyne.

As part of the Lukaku deal they look set to loan De Bruyne to Anderlecht for at least two seasons.

let chelsea take the risk. he could turn out a flop and will mean 20m down the shitter.

This kid would become a superstar with us, he will have vinnie looking over him as like a mentor so he's gona have a top attitude and he's looks like he's already got the talent. Hopfully he will be like mario but without the attitude.

Wouldn't make sense to let guidetti go and then pay 20 million for a player who seems far less technical. I know Guidetti chose to leave but if we are willing to go to great lengths to sign lukaku then i feel we should've done the same for Guidetti. 20 million is too much for this lad, the Belgian league is probably on a par with the SPL. Look at Jovanovic. He's absolute shite and looked like a world-beater over there.

Lukaku is in a different league to Guidetti. He is fast, powerful, and very much models himself on Drogba who is his idol hence his tour around Chelsea.

However Lukaku's parents and Vincents parents are very close and from what I've heard on the Belgian grapevine their preference is for him to come to Manchester so that Vinny can look after him. His signing would also fit into our need for a yound forward whos happy to bide his time behind Carlos/Dzeko/Balo.
