Romeo Lavia

I’ve said multiple times, I think there’s a purpose to this crazy spending. I can see Roman still being involved in the background and ready to swoop in to “save the club” as soon as he’s legally allowed to. The narrative is there to play out to help him get back in to favour with the U.K. government and sanctions etc lifted to let a cut price deal be done. The current owner at Chelsea isn’t a fool, this is unusual behaviour and somethings not right with it, that or he’s just a face to hide the fact the Saudi’s are really the owners and are showing their cluelessness by just trying to buy everyone they can in pure hope rather than belief. Either way it smells fishy to me.
Can’t see it myself. The yank is clueless, that’s all there is to it.

Not with the new findings of dodgy sponsorship dealings etc under the Roman era? Also, i think the chavs are going to smash FFP and get a two year transfer ban but have the players there already?
Money talks… Roman investing in the U.K. with his Russian Billions will prevail long term regardless of any current sanctions in place. It’s no coincidence he’s playing the “middle man” in negotiations between Russia and the Ukraine in the hope it’s looked upon as him being a good guy in all this from those who have sanctioned him. He will return to Chelsea when he can, that Ive no doubt of and he will do it as a saviour swooping in to save the club. It’s almost as if the play is to let the club decline for it to happen. Just my theory of course, I’ve zero evidence to prove it as fact.

you're paying for potential that lavia might be good, but 50m for a 19yr old from a relegated side is insane, tbh when i watched southampton he wasnt the stand out player for them despite how bad they were

He looked very decent, but I wasn't like wow! However, like Paqueta could he flourish more in a team with better players, than at a team wading through the treacle of a relegation dog fight?
