Any bid they put in for him under £40m we should whack 25% onto. Drives up the cost for them if they match it and the 25% we add on will become 20% of the overall fee and go into our pockets.

Buy-back for £40m is probably bargain pricing for what he actually would go for. Presuming Phillips goes I think we should activate it.

I suspect it could be one we can’t afford to leave alone. A bit like the Angelino one but getting a better player.

I honestly think we made huge blunder letting Lavia go. On what I have seen so far (before and after his bad injury) he is much better than Philllips. To be fair we don't let many good ones go but this looks likes a crazy decision.
