Ronaldo Koeman?

Ok, whilst we are at it can I play down any links linking me with the job also? I'm far too busy splitting my time between my current job, parenting the little one and reading George R R Martin's Game of Thrones series of books to actually take over at Eastlands, and I don't fancy being in the public eye for farting in my sleep.

I don't know of any links linking me with the post, but if there are I would just like to say I know nothing about them.

Great. I would advise everyone else to do the same, just in case. Never know, could find reporters outside your house tomorrow morning asking for your thoughts on Brian McDermott being sacked or the unlikelihood of Wio being banned for violent conduct. Hell, they just snapped Mancini outside Costa Coffee yesterday - didn't ask him anything, just snapped some pics and ran away like little kids. Will no doubt appear with some venomous headline like "Mancini quaffs a Mocha whilst City title hopes disappear" or "Roberto holds public crisis meeting over summer spending plans". No doubt he'll be fuming as Soriano capped spending at a medio cap and didn't ok the sprinkles. Which is probably code for Cavani, Suarez and Falcao have all said no, but Jason Roberts is open to the idea of joining us, if he can have a match the highest earner clause.

Journos gotta get paid, so s**t gotta get written.

Just another concerted effort by the British press to make the club unstable in the final push for the title. The Rags are looking over their shoulders, and we may well catch them up.

Feyenoord boss Ronald Koeman says he knows nothing about links with a role at Manchester City.

The Dutch legend has impressed since taking charge at De Kuip, guiding them to second last term and he was handed a long-term deal in the summer.

However, Koeman's name has been strongly linked with City and reports claim that the Premier League club's sporting director Txiki Begiristain - who knows him from their time together at Barcelona - is a confirmed fan.

Koeman admits that it is natural for managers, like players, to be linked with big moves but he knows nothing about City.

"Players who develop into internationals are in the spotlight, and it is logical that people look at trainers also," he told Voetbal International.

"But I have nothing else to say, because I simply do not know about [City's] reported interest."

Koeman took the helm at Feyenoord in 2011 after stints in charge of Vitesse Arnhem, AZ Alkmaar, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Benfica and Valencia.

Ajax Eredivisie (2): 2001–02, 2003–04
KNVB Cup (1): 2002
Johan Cruijff Shield (1): 2002
Benfica SuperCup Cândido de Oliveira (1): 2005
PSV Eredivisie (1): 2006–07
Valencia Copa del Rey (1): 2008
AZ Alkmaar Johan Cruijff Shield (1): 2009

Not exactly the finest of CV`s is it !!

Is that a real piece of news or is it like what they run during transfer windows on their website when you can put your own name in and 'sign' for your club, yellow ticker and all??

Another snub.

The "smart" in your location is rapidly becoming redundant ... ;)
All the best humour is based on endless repetition.

Look at 'Allo 'Allo, for example.

Haha ...i bet that got a giggle from your target audience too ... :)

It was more impressive than Mancini's CV before he came here IMO.
